Dear fellow Gumshoe devotees, I’m fairly new at trading on my own, especially options. I used to have a broker at one of the big firms. It didn’t go well. I’ve been checking out the infinite number of “programs” offered. I’d really appreciate your input on anyone that is worthwhile to help me succeed while I find my footing. Trade of the day War Room “Overnight Trades” (This guy has a very good “shtick” ) Wendy Kirkland (trading the QQQs), Chuck Hughes, Oxford Club’s offering (“Swing Trading” w/Nicholas Vardy, Altucher’s “Secret Trade” service and many more. None of these services are cheap. If anyone would care to weigh in (or suggest one that has helped you learn and profit) I would be forever grateful. Sandy, new Irregulars member. Thank you.

I like the motely fools basic service stock advisor. Granted they market like crazy but on the upside of the virus downturn, they have done really well. Their method though is to buy and hold for a few years.

I have lifetime subscriptions to Stansberry Flex Alliance, Tradesmith, and Oxford Club. They are all good services but not life changing. Chuck Hughes is truly lifechanging. I am referring specifically to his weekly paycheck program which is essentially selling weekly covered calls. He recommends a mix of 10 stocks and funds and that is what he bases his reported returns on. I calculated the percentage returns for all 10 and concluded that TNA and TQQQ were the most profitable. My brokerage account had accumulated probably 50 positions, ranging from 90% losers to 150% winners. I proceeded to “defrag” my account and was able to gather about $300,000 in cash which I used to purchase TNA. This week I collected over $20,000 in premiums. I will use those profits to buy more shares of TNA which leads to more option contracts, etc. etc. By the end of the month I should have made close to $100,000 which will compound into a fortune over the course of the next year. You can review his program on youtube: Chuck Hughes weekly paychecks.

It has now been about three months since I last posted so I wanted to update my experience with Chuck Hughes. My gains total $347,000. Since I am new to options I have made a lot of mistakes that have cost me profits. For example, this past week I chose too low a strike price on my TNA covered call, so rather than making $60k I made 30K. But who’s complaining? I started with covered calls and now have gone on to incorporate his weekly directional call trades and debit spreads. I anticipate at least doubling my current rate of return. My objective is to make as much money as possible during the current melt up so that when the inevitable melt down happens I will have a cushion and then will employ Chuck’s put and inverse ETF strategies.
