Does anybody have info on Motley Fool’s latest push – ”next gen supercycle”?

I listened to their pitch and they revealed their #1 stock for listening. It was Teradyne. I didn’t buy the service do that’s all I know.
There was already a posting on this site regarding Next Gen Supercycle. It looks like it has been removed. Does anyone know why it was removed?
That was the page of the discussion , I read it and left it opened in my browser , but few hours later it has disappeared !

Sorry for the inconvenience. Posts or comments on which we receive specific complaints are generally taken down while we assess the complaint. There was a post on the removed thread about five of the recommended stocks for post 5G implementation. I know BILI was one, and I think AMBA. Does anyone remember what those five were?
According to what I remember from the deleted post , none of these two were on the list.
I actually found it:
1) AMBA – Virtual reality and autonomous vehicles
2) APTV – Best pure-play autonomous vehicles company
3) AYX – Data analytics leader
4) BILI – Gaming in the roaring 2020’s
5) ISRG – The future of surgery
6) Z – Say goodbye to realtor fees
Wasn’t there 19 of them? Can you email me the rest?
Hello, i tried to locate the next gen 5g list in the discussion. Can you please share the list if you have it?
Could you reshare the list? Thanks
any chance you can email me the rest of the list?
They were on the same thread but reco’s by a different “guru”, so not part of the 19 “NextGen” stocks.
I don’t remember these being on the list.
Do you remember what was on the list? Please could you email me what you could remember?
THIS IS NOT MY WORK, JUST POSTING FROM THE OTHER THREAD:
My far too long list, pulled from all over..
Short list; INSG, QRVO,SWKS,CEVA,LITE,CCI
Good free summary of 5G stocks related:
https://www.investors.com/news/technology/5g-stocks-5g-wireless-stocks/
5G – has three major wavelengths with different properties.
* Low – longer wave legnth – similar to 4G (2 miles distance, similar speed, more bandwidth)
* Medium – mid wave length – faster moderate distance
* High – mmWave (short wavelength) – about 1000-1500 meters (so a “tower” every mile).
– And it cannot travel through objects (like trees, houses, etc)
** For this, I understand the thought is to use existing Fiber and put units for example
on light posts, or poles in neighborhoods.
** So AT&T, Verizon, and Century Link own most of the Fiber
So to setup infrastructure:
1. Need access to send data over the Fiber
2. Need Antennae/router every mile for High speed 5G (this is where the conspiracy theories come
on the high/short wavelength). (There could be a spec of truth to it, but not repeatable).
3. Need the recievers (QRVO), data transfer to memory(RMBS) and memory (MU, Samsung, etc).
4. The 5G chips:
Huawei
* But ‘out of fashion’ in the West due to history of spying/security concerns
QualComm (QCOM) – has 2 generations already
* Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X55 adds support for 4G/5G spectrum
* Snapdragon is the processor also, and is used in robotics and other areas also.
* Modem
Intel
* Broad market of compute and chips
* bought Infineon’s modem business – so may do modems ?? but sounds like a conflict
Apple
* New phones
* Modem – Apple’s speculated 5G modem
Samsung
* Broad involvement, phones, infrastructure, and 5G chips
* Modem
MediaTek
* designing 5G cellular chip for Intels 5G PC – MDTKF –
* Has a modem also Helio M70
Unisoc
* 5G modems (chips using TSM older 12nm process)
Skyworks Solutions Inc
* designed for Sub-6GHz 5G
* RF-Front-end chipsetsA
* supplies many of the components that sit between the modem and the network, including filters, amplifiers, and other RF front-end components.
QRVO
* designed for Sub-6GHz 5G
* some mmWave radio solutions
* RF-Front-end chipsets
5. Then you need the larger towers and likely more fibre run to improve in rural areas or
even other areas that do not have good coverage.
Then you have the wave of applications improving.

Moonshots has recommended Mesa Laboratories MLAB
they had: buys for INMD, CRNT, SRI, MITK and MXL all were buys last year. INSG, CEVA, ALLT, QUIK were last year as well. This year focus buys were AKTS, ECHO, CRNC and CYRX. He likes SYNA a lot.
others:
Atomera (ATOM) and Lumentum (LITE)
15G:
Here are my guesses for far listed in the order in which he talks about them:
2. “Makes the sensors for self-driving cars” – Ambarella (AMBA)
AMBA – Ambarella
* HD Video capture, analysis, sharing, display (computer vision)
– TXN, INTC, QCOM, NVDA
3. “Merges AI and network security” – A10 Networks (ATEN)
– See above
6. “Safeguards the internet of things” – Allot (ALLT)
– network intelligence and security solutions
A good starting point to guess these stocks woud be to look at the list of attendees for the mobile world congress, which he mentioned one of the companies attended: https://www.mwclosangeles.com/exhibition/exhibitors/
ALLT
Other 5G:
* Samsung Phones
* QCOM – as above – Snapdragon X60 5G modem
* Apple
* TMUS – $ 94.61 – Tmobile service/network
* VZ – $ 55.45 – Verizon service/network
* T – $ 28.89 AT&T service/network
5G RF chip makers:

SWKS – $108.15 – SKYWORKS SOLUTIONS INC –
AKTS – $ 8.17 – AKOUSTIS TECHNOLOGIES INC
QRVO – $100.67 – QORVO INC

CIEN – $ 48.09 – Ciena Corporation provides network hardware, software, and services that support the transport, switching, aggregation, service delivery, and management of video, data, and voice traffic on communications networks worldwide
Rumor:
CTL – $ 9.73 – Century Link – millions of miles of Fiber Optics
* Apparently the plan is to put routers off the Fiber that Century Link has
Fibre:
* AT&T (NYSE:T), Verizon (NYSE:VZ), T-Mobile (NASDAQ:TMUS) – I think that
is the order in miles of fibre.
* I am not sure if neighborhood fibre is more Century link, but that is the
impression I have. (And I am no fan of CenturyLink, often clueless with
technical networking info for decades, I stopped using them personally).
So is there a way to email other members?
There were three tiers in terms of allocation. The first really just obvious large caps. Anyone wants who wants to make a real multiple can ignore. It was obvious: Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, CRM, Mastercard, Visa and CCI. They want to overweight them in a portfolio which seems excessive. Sure, people will make money with these. Will it be life changing? Eh?
I am surprised CRM is considered a big 5G player. I know their stock is doing great but has nothing to do with 5G. Why would they be on MF’s list of 5G stocks to get into.
Second tier a little better than the large caps: DOCU, AYX, SQ, PYPL, CDNS, XLNX, TER.
I thought the stocks in the first tier were not going to be multibaggers any time soon as well. I only considered buying from the second and third tiers. What are your thoughts on CRNC? I bought that because it has the smallest cap in the portfolio. Also bought AYX and TER but sold TER & added that money to my FSLY position. Most of the other stocks were already on my radar due to being a MF member for a few years.
What stocks were in th third Tier… and what does the Tier strucure indicate?
Tier 3 – TDOC, CRNC, ALRM, LITE. Tiers are allocation levels. 1-50%, 2-30%, 3-20%. Like Fakename, i dropped the first tier entirely.
Thanks. Are you these MF next gen stocks?
CRNC up over 20% today from earnings. Up over 2% after hours. Wish I invested more than $2,000!
Now we have MF’s Moonshot 2020. Anybody have any information on this?
following….
Zynga was the first pick at the end of the pitch. Dont see it. Its already a 10b market cap game co. Is an app game co going to 200b in market cap any time soon?
@JHS: I have to agree on Zynga. I didn’t know MF recommended it, however, I bought the stock when when the $9.00 options were getting lots of buzz for selling at full price. It has taken 7 weeks for the stock to climb to my $9.56 buy price. Not thrilled abou the performance to say the least. I am a buy and hold type… but am thinking about dumping this the second it hits my buy price. It’s too aggravating and I have zero interest in the company!
Thanks for sharing the Tier 3 info!
Do they give updates as to when to sell out, ALRM just tanked big time, do they advise to hold or sell?
@ A.B. MF’s approach is to buy and hold for 3-5 years, and also rarely issue “sell” recommendations unless something egregious happens in a company they recommend. No current sell on ALRM.
Have any of the Moonshot 2020 stocks got anybody interested?
I don’t know all of them, but think DOCU, PINS and ATVI were included. Do you know the whole list?
Can anyone else confirm the top pick was Teradyne (TER)?
The reason I ask is MF always writes articles on their picks. And their discloure policy requires both the author and MF disclose their holdings and recommendation of all stocks mentioned.
Now if MF wrote an aritcle discussing TER, all you would have to do is read the ending discloures to at the very least confirm it is one of their picks. But MF has zero aritcles on TER. That seems almost unheard of, not just for stock they have picked, but for top one of a product.
Currently, there are NO Motley Fool services that actively recommend TER.
Wait! I cannot say that about TER with absolute certainty. I’m only a member to the Fool’s Stock Advisor service. In the past, I could punch in a ticker symbol when logged in, and they would tell you how many Motley Fool services are actively recommending that stock. They wouldn’t tell you which services if you didn’t subscribe to them. . . just how many were currently recommending the stock.
But now it looks like they may have changed this because stocks that I know they recommend over several of their services are now saying 1 or 0 when I look up a particular ticker. They must now be limiting this feature to only the Fool services you subscribe to. Figures! That was a great cheat sheet in the past.
Could I get the List as well
Please
Can I get list as well please
me too
can you share the list
jezzz, who ever has that list – you should be charging per request
I subscribe to their NextGen 5G supercycle portfolio. It’s good and made me money. One of their picks just got acquired and gave me 30% in the same week that I bought it. Of course that is coincidental, but it was a nice bonus as I build my portfolio and wait for the other picks to perform. If you’re curious there are 22 picks altogether and their recomended holding period is 3-5 years. They don’t update very often unless there is a change in belief . The research and education is also good and their investing style is inline with my style as a traditional investor. It’s good for investors, not traders.
But the service is pricey! I paid $1500 for the year. If you help me with the cost, I can share a peek 😉
Hi I’ll help you with the cost if you share a peek.
It’s only £599 for the year now, so about half what you paid for it! Still pretty pricy though if you are only investing a few grand.
Can someone send me the list?
I’d also like to request a copy of “The List”
Love to see the list also
