Hi Travis
I have been doing some research into Lithium America’s this week as I am interested in them.
The last 3 days they have seen stock increases as the project in Argentina has re-started and the project in Nevada at Thacker pass is awaiting its permit.
My research has highlighted that LIthium America’s Argentina project is 50 % Lithium America’s and 51 % Ganfeng. Interestingly in 2018 Tesla agreed a 3 year pact with Ganfeng to supply Lithium to Tesla and the pact could be prolonged for up to 3 years.
I Then linked up Elon Musc, Tesla, Genfang, LIthium America’s, Thacker pass Nevada, which is to be producing 44,000 tonnes of lithium per year, the most in America By 2022. Just around when the extension from Ganfeng would expire (if there has been an extension).
I then listened to Lithium America’s 2019 presentation in which the CEO said there were looking for a partner once the permit had been granted.
Now that Elon Musc jokingly mentioned buying a mine! It could be that this is what he plans as Tesla require around 28,000 tonnes of lithium at least next year.
I would love to know your thoughts Travis and anyone else’s.
I’m new to all of this but am enjoying doing the research.
Any comments appreciated.
