FYI, the Rights offering for Power REIT got extended again, late on Friday — pushed out to the maximum date (two week extension in total), so this Friday, Feb. 5 is now the deadline. I assume any holders here who wanted to exercise have already done so, but just in case.
first hnd information about SE from these guys who are based in Singapore and quite highly regarded: https://youtu.be/D6XTKlS4NDw
Thanks. Phenomenal company taking advantage of its moment this year, I’m really curious to see how the launch of Shopee in Brazil goes. The valuation is nutty, of course (though it’s similar to MercadoLibre’s valuation, and still much cheaper than Shopify on many metrics), so much depends on how confident SE investors are in the growth potential as they continue to invest in the money-losing e-commerce business — and, of course, on the degree to which the Garena gaming business can subsidize the long-term growth in the competitive e-commerce business. Lots of money being thrown at trying to build market share in what has in many places become a “winner take most” business.
Finally bit the bullet and joined up based on this post and a few years of off and on lurking. Excellent insight as always, Travis.
Opened my first trading account today with a few small nibbles of some of the stocks covered recently. Mighty oaks from small acorns grow!
Keep up the good work, and thank you!
You will not regret it. Travis has a very solid research and SG is the best website for long term investing hands down! Just be patient, think as a long term investor and you will be ok.
you got lucky
What you think about EPR stock? Ilikely they will return to 70 – 80s over 2021?
If you’re hoping for a recovery for movie theaters and theme parks and daycare centers, it might take longer than that… haven’t looked at the details for that company, though (EPR is a REIT that owns school, theater and similar properties).
I’d start with a look at the dividend (was it cut or paused?), the debt maturities and their ability to stay solvent (the stock hasn’t fallen THAT much, so probably not terrible on that front), and what they’re saying about rent collection (what percent of tenants are in arrears, what’s the occupancy rate, when will it recover, etc.).
Of course, if it really gets the “short squeeze” attention then all bets are off… but my preliminary guess without looking very closely would be that it will take a few years to get back to where they were in 2019, assuming that the permanent damage to the balance sheet isn’t especially ugly.
industry estimates 5 years, but their space is shook by streaming services and may never recover
All right I am gonna say it…you are a legend Travis!! Start a SPAC and we will FOMO buy all of it haha. Honestly thanks for all you do, have made and saved $$$ from all your research and DD, from a very happy customer, cheers.
I second that!
Especially re the Annual Reviews.
Yes, this annual review is extremely helpful. You give us excellent value, Travis. Thank you. Your analysis and clear explanations are making this a pleasant learning journey with some decent profits during my first half year trading on the stock market.
What is a good entry price for GSHD
Excellent write up. You did not mention TDOC or TTD – your thoughts going forward with these two
@retiredrancher…telemedicine’s growth has and will continue in multiple medical disciplines. In fact, I’m learning that genetic counselors are looking how they can use this medium to expand their foothold in the suburbs via satellite health centers and or clinics. Until TDOC has any real competition, they will be a valued stock in your portfolio reaching the $300+ range. Respectfully, just my thoughts… Glta! Stay healthy, everyone!
Mr. Gumshoe has done it again…following his inestimable advice I threw some cash into Dreamfinder Homes last week and already its up nearly 50%! Formidable!
Hi Travis. Why Clovis Oncology still crashing ? any idea ? Thanks
The way I read it, the ASCO data was fine but not fantastic, so it’s a waiting game for clinical trials to proceed in prostate and other cancers.
And when you go up 20% in a couple days, whether because of some short covering or some news anticipation, then falling back down by 20% doesn’t count as a “crash” in my book.
Thank you Travis. What will be your 1st price target for this stock ?
Don’t have one, I have only a small option speculation in this name. Likely to be a 100% loss, potential for 1,000% gains if they have great clinical/FDA progress late in the year.
Mr. Travis, Just a curious personal question!. Looks like you are always passionate to answer your readers questions. How do you manage to spend your time with Gumshoe family.
Sometimes the teenagers need a break from me, and Mrs. Gumshoe sometimes works 60-hour weeks, so I like to chime in and answer questions when I have time 🙂
this is where we thrive
clovis was over hyped…if you look at the space they exist in they are peddling old tech. too many movers in biotech to pin anyone to a long play,,,i woud suggest vlon which doestn manufacture drugs so much as manufactures bon abusive drugs, funded by the us govt

Re: “financing for AMC” :
Happy days are here again
The movie theater operator said it raised $917 million through a combination of equity and debt. On the equity side, AMC secured $506 million by issuing 164.7 million new shares along with the previously announced $100 million of additional first-lien debt and converting $100 million of second-lien debt into equity.
It raised an additional $411 million by executing commitment letters of new debt through the middle of 2023 by upsizing and refinancing its European revolving credit facility.
“Today, the sun is shining on AMC,” Aron said. The theater chain said the push to vaccinate the general public makes an increase in theater attendance likely.
