Ian Wyatt and the Pre-IPO EV Battery

By romanpavlik, January 31, 2021

Hey everyone, thank you Travis for your years of articles and willingness to share your portfolio. It is enjoyable reading. Ian Wyatt is driving me nuts, i get 3 emails per day for the last month about the #1 little known PRE IPO EV Battery Stock. It will be in GMs cars, “Buy it before Jan 31”, “they announced it will go public in Feb”, it has been called “Red Hot EV Stock”. the “PRE IPO backdoor”, GRAB IT NOW!. Is he referring to a possible SPAC merger? is there a way to really buy it pre-ipo? i couldnt find it on any of the crowdfunding sites, so what say you Gumshoe nation?

Along those same lines, I saw a pitch from a Matt McCall about a “quantum glass battery” that is supposed to virtually replace lithium ion batteries in EV and many other applications. It all made sense to me but I’m a rookie. They are making it sound like the second coming of pot stocks. Seems like the number one ticker guess is: ILIKF. Other tickers I’ve run across are: SSNLF, ALB, and PCRFY. I don’t know but I think this could be a major trend if the batteries do what the ads say they can do. Perhaps this was covered and I missed it, but would like some other more informed opinions on this.

Also NNOMF is another one that has a proposal to make nickel-rich (low-cobalt) cathode direct from Chilean lithium carbonate. ILIKF is supposed to have a contract with PCRFY and TM.

Hello All – I am so weary of the continual bombardment by the “Names” of publishing stock experts like they’re selling time-shares. – WHAT is this $3 stock that has been hyped for months – it must be worth $300 by now. And why are they hailing it….just to sell subscriptions?? The unbelievable part is that I subscribe to Oxford, Stansberry, and a few others and they want to charge their paying members to tell them. Out of control.

Regarding EV and LiDar… does anyone know which is the better investment: VLDR (as I understand, the new company name for Graf after they acquired Velodyne Lidar), or VLDRW (Velodyne Lidar inc which is still individually traded). Is it generally more lucrative to purchase the merger or the individual company you liked? VLDR is trading for approx $20 a share and VLDRW is under $10. I’m pretty new to this so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

VLDRW is the warrant for VLDR. It moves significantly higher when VLDR goes up and significantly lower when VLDR goes down. You should study warrants for their downside before investing in them. I like LAZR better because it has weekly options whereas VLDR has monthly options. I have bought and sold both and both have bullish analyst ratings.

Actually I just realized that VLDRW is the warrant…does anyone have feedback on bundling warrants with common stock?

I prefer the conservative investing by buying in lots of 100 shares and selling 1 covered call option per 100 shares. It lowers your downside risk but also limits your upside potential.
