MF’s 85x AR/VR tease? Reveal pre-market Monday

By , January 30, 2021

Hi all,
I received a Motley Fool email touting an 85x potential stock for MF’s “Extreme Opportunities: Augmented Reality & Beyond” service, which they are set to reveal pre-market, 9 AM Monday. Here are the details:
————————
1) Small and underfollowed. This stock may be small and underfollowed (with a market cap less than 1/150th the size of Amazon), but we think it has simply incredible upside potential.
2) 85x potential growth opportunity. This stock’s first VR foray targets a growing niche experts believe could be worth an estimated $46 billion — 85x the company’s annual revenue. Yes please.
3) Multiple paths to massive growth. In addition to the huge VR opportunity, the company estimates that they still have between 80% and 90% of market share to seize in their core markets – so, plenty more opportunity to potentially unlock. I love companies with multiple pathways to grow, because when they fire on all cylinders they can presumably drive simply incredible results.

Never been recommended anywhere else at MF.

Any thoughts?

LITE was already a Motley Fool recommendation from last year. In the bottom of their free articles, MF discloses whether the stocks mentioned in the article is a recommendation or if MF owns shares. LITE was mentioned as a recommended stock in a 2020 October article.

LITE has been previously recommended so that would disqualify it from contention.

Amazon Mkt Cap = $1.61T, 1/150th = $10.7B.
Axon (AXON) Mkt Cap = $10.4B
Axon Revenue = $531M, $531M x 85 = $45T

It’s not Unity or Axon. Both are already recommended by the Motley Fool

VUZI is an attractive stock in this space. Whether or not it’s who they are referring to. I do not own it..yet …but it is now on the radar. Being a MF subscriber, I also received the email. I also noticed that SNAP shows up a lot lately too. I haven’t run the numbers to see how it adds upto the ad.

What makes VUZI attractive? Its financials don’t look too hot and it seems like the value has been artificially propped up by sudden interest by the GME-type crowd.

Could it be Penumbra (PEN)?

Amazon Mkt Cap = $1.61T, 1/150th = $10.7B.

Penumbra Mkt Cap = $9.4B (less than 10.7B)

Annual Revenue: $547M (x85 = $46.4B)

Could it be Penumbra (PEN)?

“With a market cap less than 1/150th the size of Amazon”
– Amazon Mkt Cap = $1.6T , ( $1.6T / 150 = $10.7B)
– (PEN) Mkt Cap = $9.5B
$9.5B > $10.7B

“85x potential growth opportunity… could be worth an estimated $46 billion”
– (PEN) Revenue = $547M , ($547M x 85 = $46B)

What about Lenovo Group (14 billion market cap with a 6% pop today) or UbiSoft (10 billion market cap with a 3% rise)?
