I see that the warrants[1] you mentioned have almost tripled in value and have a new name and ticker symbol. What are your current thoughts on these? Hang on or take profit?

  1. I haven’t done anything with them yet, but yes, the merger went through and Monocle Acquisition is now AerSale. I will update my thoughts on Friday. As of the moment, the warrants are trading at a substantial discount to their exercise value, so investors seem to be rushing to take their profits (the warrants are for $11.50 a share, so with ASLE at $14 the warrants should be worth $2.50 plus a time premium for the five year term… keeping in mind the lid provided by the early exercise terms if ASLE hits $18 for a few weeks).

I purchased MNCLW warrants on a whim on 11/9 for 0.235. Was pleasantly surprised when I found out they had merged and the new symbol was ASLEW and the price had jumped to $2.35 a 900% profit. Sold 1/3 of my position at that point. As of todays close the price is $2.74 a whopping 1066% increase in under 2 months. I am interested to hear your thoughts on where this might go from here.

As my first warrants move, this has been a positive experience. Basically, I bet $50 bucks that I would learn something – and it came true!
Now reading up on how to exercise the new PW rights.
