I’m not an expert on the sector, but am wondering if this is a solid investment for the long term?

I own a basket of ROOT, LMND, MILE, HIPPO and EVER. I think there will be a winner or two that comes out of there but not to the extent the speculators are hoping for. They all piled in especially with LMND and way over drove these companies. Nice for a bit but they are settling back to reality. Ever is a good buy in the low $30’s for a starter and load up if it settles into the $20’s but don’t be surprised if it sits for a while. I also would not be surprised if all 5 of these sit a year or two or if they all take another spurt up. The business isn’t as lucrative as the market believes so I think they will all disappoint the speculators for a year or two and a couple of these will reward the long term investor.
Thanks, your point of view makes a lot of sense. The speculators here need to be flushed.
I did get burned on MILE and EVER, exited MILE at a loss and I think I will half my EVER position and revisit in the low 30s or 20s. Other lucrative areas in the market now.
