Conformis (NASDAQ:CFMS) has received the FDA’s 510(k) clearance for patient-specific instrumentation (“PSI”) developed in partnership with Howmedica Osteonics, a subsidiary of Stryker Corporation (NYSE:SYK). The PSI system is designed for use with Stryker’s Triathlon Total Knee System.
Stryker is huge in this sector, and the 510(k) clearance will allow Conformis to begin manufacturing patient specific joint replacements.

Not liking this, PM did it again. Sold from one portfolio and buying into another. He could have informed his plan and the subscribers could keep the stock bought at a lower price.
I am with you on this , I ran to this same situation with PRLB .
It’s alright not to buy companies that you do not like. Market cap for PLUG is now 14.7B, may not be considered small cap. It was sold a while back.
Same here. I sold it based other PM service. Now Buy alert on PU. Anyway, I just sell put option to pick up on a dip.
I got into plug under $2 and sold just shy of $24. Was kind of very unhappy when I saw it went above $60, but that spike was short lived…..Back down to $28-ish. Made a ton of money regardless. So I can’t be too mad that he’s listing it in PU, along with suggesting an option play at $45 in September. He’s looking for it to double in the next 100 days.
I’ve learned my lesson though: For the big winners, hold onto a stake even after the sell recommendation, bankers money of some small stake, -and- when s tock triples in a month, pull some off the table. I suddenly like bankers money, every bit of that gain ‘feels’ better, and the short term drops don’t hurt as much!

I think you can open it if you have the link. More or less you put in the ticker, # of shares, Price at purchase and it tracks results. It will also track against a benchmark (example: IVV), and even compare your results v Benchmark. (you need to manually add the benchmark price on the purchase date) To add stocks, just copy the bottom row. You can also keep a sheet for each service or account you have. (I do that and have a cover sheet that also shows results on a consolidated basis.).
The biggest gain I get from the spreadsheet is being able to quickly see a daily recap by service of results, (they’re color coded) as well as 1 year and 1 week graphs. Daily gain, total gain.
Anyway, if anyone wants it, I thought I’d share how I look at my stocks daily.

I’ve had busienss deal conversations with SK Group and they are huge they have a huge online portal offering called 11Street and the amazing amount of data from their telco and ecommerce business is unmatched by anyone else in the market. This is going to be a rollercoaster but dyodd.

Is anyone subscribed to IK’s Crypto Fortunes service? Any idea about the crypto coins he is recommending in that service ?
I was just about to ask this question too! IK seems pretty knowledgeable so I’m debating signing up for this service or if waiting for PM & Ian Dyer’s flash crypto service would be better.

I’ve not been big into crypto. I put a small amount into BTC back when it was around $5k, was excited it almost hit $10k, but it has that correction and I lost interest and conviction. Just left it sitting for years. The two Ians got me interested again, and I’ve been building positions.
I’m in a hold on BTC, was buying when it was below $50k.
ETH I’m hot on, because of its utility. I was buying when it pulled back below $2k.
Right now I am loading up on AAVE. I like the “banking” utility of this.
ADA I have. OGN I started building when it listed on Coinbase.
It’s a little annoying that all these are not on one site. I’m just using Coinbase and Robinhood.
I’m not “trading” crypto. I’m using it as a place to park $, hoping that if parked in one of these up and comers that it may create a nice windfall in 5 years.

Nothing recently. I was looking at that list on the BH site today. There is not frequent activity. I picked up more LINK today.
AAVE has been doing great.
IK’s video this week, which I think was on YouTube, can be summed up with this. Forget DOGE. Forget BTC. ETH is where the action in and the coins build atop ETH.
One other thing in DiFI he mentioned. In the last year, $ in DeFi is 88x greater.
Thanks for your thoughts, again. Yes, i saw that video IK did and was surprised he favored ETH so much more than BTC. Right after that video, I watched Paul and Ian D (not IK) video from today say how they think BTC is due for a run up to reclaim some of their lost market share. My takeaway, keep my BTC and buy more ETH. 🙂
ADA and LINK I’m building big on.
I am building large positions in ADA, LINK, MATIC, and EOS (see Peter Thiel’s recent investment). I am a little concerned about LINK after the inventor of Ethereum recently came out in support of using Uniswap as the primary oracle platform, which is what LINK has been purposed as. I need to further investigate the potentials of both. For now, I am still accumulating.
I agree. ETH is a great place to start. I have LINK too but personally my best performer is MATIC. It has so much more potential because it is the solution to ETH scaling issues. I will add more to my portfolio.
MATIC is on my hit list. IK said in a recent video he thought LINK would be the next one to really take of, so put that at the top of my list.
Was MATIC a IK rec? or was it recommended by any other services? I did not see MATIC in the above list.
No, MATIC was not. Not sure how it got on my watch list, but been doing well even during this pullback. Wish I positioned earlier.

I’m no expert, but have this FOMO thing going on since IK said 88x more $ is in crypto just this past year. It’s extremely volatile, and some say don’t put anything in unless you are willing to risk it all.
I don’t see the institutional interest abating. I do see the volatility continuing. But the institutional interest should stem the volatility over time.
My less than great method is to “poll” those making projections of where a particular crypto may be in 2025. I look for those that have something of a consensus of doing 5X or better. And I find one, establish my base position, and don’t trade. I’m a holder on all of these.
So, a search of “MATIC price prediction 2025” comes up with a WalletInvestors projection of as high as 13.17. Finding similar other projections gets it on my target list.
My plan, like stocks, is to have a portfolio, minimum of 10. I’m about half way there and trying to speed up my plan during this retracement.

Meanwhile, how are tax calculated on crypto? Do we need to pay taxes even if we do not take out the profit from the wallet back into our bank accounts ? Do we incur tax every time we sell a crypto even to buy another cryptos ? Thanks
I am not a tax guy and have not done my own taxes in decades. I dump everything on my CPA cousin and listen to his complaints, and then he listens to mine when he tells me what I owe.
That being said, the short answer and my understanding is that these are being treated similarly to stocks. You can hold and pay when you have profits (short and long term gains having different tax rates). If you don’t pay and just hold, no tax consequence until you do.
I have Coinbase and Robinhood. I would have Binance, but not available in NYS. Unfortunately, Coinbase that has most of my crypto has not got good tax reporting data, therefore I subscribe to CoinTracker. This will generate the necessary tax forms for you, and you can link multiple wallets to it. You also get periodic emails indicating gains/losses and harvestable tax losses you can take. I think these are daily.
I’m new to this, so figuring it out as I increase my crypto exposure. I’ll be interested to hear from others.
I am not a tax expert and I pay capital gains tax in the UK so I am sure the US is different but my understanding is that whenever you trade cryptos it is potentially a taxable event whether or not you take it out of your wallet. However if you withdraw the same crypto say Eth from an exchange to your own cold wallet then there is no taxable event. It is complicated and I subscribe to Koinly which is a US company (I think?) and calculates tax automatically I am pretty sure for US but also for UK amongst others. A tricky area !

I’m not an accountant tax guy either, but from what I can see, where some people are getting a little confused is around which transactions deemed as a capital disposal. Tax calculations of moving buying one crypto with another is where it starts to get complicated. It’s an asset, not seen as a currency so doesn’t go under forex rules.
Each transaction should be seen as a capital gains/loss event. I’m in Australia now and understand the rules better here, but generally when ever there’s a transaction of any kind (even if you didn’t convert to cash or stable coin) you need to calculate the gain/loss for that transaction at the current USD values.
This makes it complicated to work out what your capital gain/loss would be if you bought say MATIC with BTC. You’d need to capture their respective USD values at the time and track those. If this isn’t the case, I’d love to be corrected 🙂
Buying with cash/stablecoins and then just selling back to cash/stablecoins is far easier to work out as the “exchange rates” are in front of you as part of the transaction.
Some people that have been actively trading from coin to coin without tracking this are going to be in a mess at tax time.
I agree with this. You expressed it much better than me. If you have been using crypto to trade crypto as I have sometimes using Uniswap etc then something like Koinly can help a lot and is worth paying the money for imo, Even if you are doing fiat to crypto in a large number of small transactions to build a position it seems gets quite complicated somehow although in reality it is similar to tracking capital gains on shares.
This is my understanding, of course check with your accountant but I am pretty sure this is correct. The IRS considers cryptocurrency holdings to be “property” for tax purposes, which means your virtual currency is taxed in the same way as any other assets you own, like stocks or gold. You pay capital gains taxes on them—either short (held less than a year, and taxed as normal income) or long term—on your Schedule D

Difficult to know what to go for at this stage of the cycle. So far I have done very well on Eth, BTC, Ada, Dot, Link, Matic, and Cosmos but how much further to go in this bull cycle is the question unless you want to long term hold. Most my current big percentage gains come from old holds from previous bull cycle (Eth and BTC). Even XRP and XLM are showing healthy gains after being underwater for years. Although I see crypto as a long term growth story I am taking profits as I go and aim not to get caught out as I did in the previous bull cycle or this February with the Mampilly stocks where I should have cashed some out earlier. You don’t get poor by taking profits but you might not get rich. Lol. The two tokens that I am recycling a portion of the profits into are Audius which is a blockchain competitor to Spotify etc and rewards the music artists better by cutting out the middle person. The other one is UTK which has been described as the PayPal of Crypto and I think is used by Shopify. But do your own due diligence as this is volatile stuff and I may have picked wrongly
I just noticed having written the above that Matic has gone up over 40% again in last 24 hours so what do I know! Lol
ADA I I intend to make a big play on, with a double position I am just building. I like the utility of it, and projections for 2025, if I recall, are in the $80 range by some. I think it is being well led too. Can’t recall the guy’s name right now.

I’m very bullish on ADA (Cardano). My bullish thesis puts it at $8-10 by 2023. If anyone here wants to learn more about it, I’d recommend watching some of Charles’s videos on YouTube describing the project.
But an $80 price would put it at over $2.4 trillion value for all tokens. That’s roughly 3x Bitcoins total value ($800b) at its current price ($43k).
Yes, seems $80 would be incredible, but so is a $43k BTC.
I think we are early in this still. And I like the ADA concept of being the banker for the unbanked — and there are millions of them.
In parts of Africa, years ago, not sure if they still do this but they did when I was there, phone minutes where used as a form of currency. Everyone had cell phones, and they’d transfer minutes to buy things.
What I also like about this beside the incredible practicality of it, is that if, as it seems to be happening, it is adopted by theirs world countries, it could contribute incredibly to pulling some people out of poverty.

I think ADA is going places. Look up ADA Africa on Google, for example.. There is a deal with an entire nation state happening this week from what I read.
