Recently it was announced that the seasonal numbers for the flu were down. The question is: is this because the current covid 19 test has trouble distinguishing between flu and covid. Also what are the differences in the symptoms for the people who have died from each

You’re more likely to catch Michael’s attention if you post a comment at the bottom of one of his articles.
My guess would be that the simple answer explains it well: masks and distancing and staying home are just as effective for stopping flu as for stopping COVID — and there was a bigger-than-usual push for flu shots as well, particularly for schools that opened.
