Stock Gumshoe – TEASER TRACKING

By donmorron, July 20, 2021

There are more than 30-40 ticker that are very low from the teased date… Would you consider that we are in a “buy time” for a bunch of them? If so, which ones… Have anybody done this before with the corresponding DD. For instance, crypto related Companies are falling, mayve it´s a good time to get in now.

It’s been a momentum market for so long that I haven’t really scoured through the past teasers to look for “too beaten down” stories, though there are always a few. Would be interested in hearing which of the worst performers look interesting to other investors.

I chanced upon a Zacks podcast today while surfing through articles from other newsletters in my Inbox. For some reason, Zacks does not seem to be covered by Stock Gumshoe and therefore not in the Teaser Tracking list. (Perhaps Travis can explain why?)

That being said, the podcast named the following industries as beaten down after the most recent correction:
1) Semiconductors
2) Energy
3) Fintech
4) Agriculture
5) Banks

Of the above 5 industries, special mention was made of Energy and Agriculture stocks as being “definitely on sale”.

There were examples given, but the presenter noted not to exclude other stocks in the space as companies in an industry tend to move together during a correction, regardless of how poorly or how well an individual stock is doing.

I am currently doing my due diligence on the following stocks (and their competitors): MU, PXD, SQ, PYPL, DE, BAC.
