I’m not fanatic about checking my portfolio every day or week or even month. I realize that we are in this for the long haul, YET as a 75 yr. old retiree I did not expect to check and see around 55% of my investments gone. I’m dismayed and while i know the risks etc. we were hoping to move these to our children to give them a glimmer of financial stability as they start down their own path. I know it’s all a big cycle with ups/down and i just wanted to say this down has been very disheartening. nothin more.

It certainly has. That’s a rough decline, you must have had a lot of exposure to some of the “high growth” ideas that got quite ahead of themselves. I’ve certainly had a few such collapses in my my portfolio.
