Dan Ferris has run a value-focused newsletter for Stansberry for close to 20 years. He has been more prominent there in recent years, doing their main podcast and running some heavily promoted ad campaigns, and recently launching a cheaper second newsletter. He has been preaching doom of late for stocks, with a high probability of an “lost decade” for the US markets as we recover from this latest bubble, and mostly talking up inflation havens.
Humm, I once heard a wise man say: “The Prophets of Doom are usually Disappointed”.
I think his investing ideas follow more of a personal outlook than looking to facts. I think Ferris has the cart before the horse and so it doesn’t do well…
BTW does anyone saw/read the pitch “Sell Your Stocks and Move Your Money by May 10th, or You May Never Recover” from Dan Ferris recently released? In this pitch he offers “The Ferris Report” subscription by US$ 49 and comprises the following reports :
