I haven’t written about it, but the theme is similar to past fear pitches — Porter has a pretty rational argument about buying “forever” companies that are capital efficient, owning profitable insurance companies, and buying some gold and bitcoin as “currency insurance” for what he thinks will be another massive debt crisis driven by the refinancing costs for companies and governments at higher interest rates.
He also goes a step further and talks up a second passport, or owning real estate in a foreign country, or owning productive farmland as the ultimate “insurance” plays for what he sees as financial and social collapse. Pretty similar to his “End of America” pitch in 2012 or so, though once you get into his recommendations they’re probably more rational than the marketing-driven panic he’s trying to induce.
