Lidar laser eyesSaw an article about driverless cars needing laser eyes to see like humans to drive driverless cars. It said Lidar was the hey but it was to expensive but that a young “Elon Musk” had come up with a way to cut cost down to make it plausible. Dies anyone know what this is?

That’s almost certainly a reference to Luminar (LAZR), which is the “survivor” of the wave of a half-dozen LiDAR companies who came public through SPAC mergers a couple years ago.
