Reminds me when I bought BTU and SAND ,back in the day

That’s a blast from the past — that was my article about Ian Wyatt’s tease of Hercules Capital (HTGC), which is sort of a mix of venture capital fund and BDC. I just went back and checked, and it just so happens to have almost exactly matched the total return of the S&P 500 over the almost ten years since we published that note… though that return for HTGC was almost entirely from the dividend, the share price has not moved much.
SAND and BTU have essentially broken even over that same time period, incidentally.
