ATTN PRIVATE EQUITY GURUS – care to help us newbies out with advice?

By chairmann, March 14, 2024

i have long been fascinated with private equity… vc and startups. so much so, i actually took the plunge on company called mode mobile in their alpha round. since then i have found sites like republic.com and fantasize about finding that amazon-in-alpha. if any of you people are wise in this venue, please feel free to share. i believe THIS is the real way to make $ these days. dont be just another post ipo sheeple, but rather get in before the masses and profit handsomely by seeding your money on many promising horses.

if anyone has thoughts about mode mobil, feel free to share as well…….. https://www.modemobile.com/

I’m not in private equity but look up the failure rates of startups – around 90%.

Less than 1% make it to unicorn status. (Imagine out a grid of 10 x 10 dots, then pick out 1 – that’s 1 in a 100)

Amazon is the rarity and survivorship bias makes people think startups rocketing to Amazon status is easy.
