Author Bio
Travis has asked me to write a monthly column with comments on the markets and stock picks from my broad database that now approaches 400 stocks with investment tips I have learned as a well-seasoned investor in a broad range of markets. I have 15 sector-specific personal portfolios such as base and precious metals, energy, (from oil/gas to uranium, wind/solar and more), agricultural/fertilizer, coal/iron ore, lithium, graphite, rare earths, and critical and specialty metals (a very lucrative but neglected sector), in short, mostly commodities, but I also have a keen interest in new technologies and emerging markets. Another thing you might want to know about me is that I have been an avid organic gardener for over 50 years.Myron Martin is a paid contributor to Stock Gumshoe, he has agreed to our trading restrictions but he chooses his own topics and his words and opinions are his own.

While I am not quite as cynical about Jim Rickard's as Travis appears to be,I do NOT consider his premise "ridiculous as Travis labelled it, Travis as usual has added some sober second thought. Logically and mathematically Rickard's analysis makes a lot of[...]

AGREED, this is a low margin business and the value of the average meal does not justify the delivery cost. Having spent 1o years as a courier driver I know how competitive the delivery business really is. The cost of maintaining and operating a vehicle le[...]

Moors is definitely one of the worst blowhards on the Internet, Cut his projections to a 10th and you might do okay with a very small initial stake until you see what actually develops. No harm in putting it on a WATCH List to track any progress or put in [...]

FAIR QUESTION! We all know every sector of the market is cyclical, some more so than others, so results vary from year to year.. I have had some years where my portfolio in total has doubled but on average around 50% is a good year FOR ME.As far as lo[...]

Tha'ts a little extreme if not prejudiced. I agree that the average investor with less than $100,000 in currently investable funds would be foolish to spend $2,000 for any of his services, but not worth 2c, what an uninformed exaggeration. I am sure I am n[...]

Indeed, with their established liquor business I am thinking a call option on Constellation might just be the cheapest and low risk way to benefit from the upside in the marijuana sector given their substantial stake in CANOPY, an obvious leader in the ind[...]

Thanks again Travis for the fact based intel.. Robinson in my opinion may be well connected as he claims, but to use a baseball analogy, by the time a batter hits the big leagues he is bound to hit the occasional home run, but that is not the norm. Expect[...]
