With my trading web page open, I wait for the trading email to arrive. As soon as I open it, I am entering the order. I enter at the price the option is at. Forget about their suggested price to trade at. It is never that low. Say the price is at .38, I place my order at .39. That gets a fill. I will then place a close trailing stop and hopefully make a .5 profit. Occasionally the profit is bigger but be satisfied with less. So you need to trade about $1,000 worth to make it worth your time. That is the reality of the system. Would I recommend you buy this subscription service? No. If you want to make a good return on options the best services in my opinion are by Tom Gentile and Zach Scheidt. Zach is good but I have yet to see anyone who can beat Tom Gentile. I subscribe to both and would recommend them. With Zach it’s a place the trade and walk away. With Tom, I am taking his trades from 9 to 12. There is no perfect system but if I could only use one of the many Gurus I have subscribed to over the years, Tom Gentile would be it.

Thanks for the thorough review, Paul. I’ve heard more good than bad about Nomi, but I’m just a very small-time investor and can’t even come close to affording her service – I could probably trade the $1,000 you suggest, but I wouldn’t have a thousand left if I subscribed to her. I kind of get a kick out of all the Paradigm Press offers that SAY they’re perfect for the little guy – but have subscription prices that no little guy can afford. Wish you the best with it though. 🙂

What Paul doesn’t say directly is that 25 Cent Trader is a source of entertainment. As trading advice it is a non-starter. The actual writer (as of April 2021) is Ingy and her short posts are mildly entertaining on Monday and Tuesday mornings, then you get a video on Fridays which will confuse with Wall Street technospeak. There is zero value for money in 25 Cent Trader. It clutters my email inbox only because I have a Platinum Membership that covers way too many Agora Financial publications.

Nomi Prins 25cent Trader Service. I saw a video of her talking about it, and I wanted to know is the service worth $3K per year? What is it that she is doing? Is it derivative trading or options? Thanks for your response?

In 4 tries, I have yet to get an order placed that hasn’t far exceeded her buy price. These orders were placed within 30 seconds of receiving the email. I only subscribed for 3 months at $850. I have already written this off.

Agora is one very big sales bombardment. Lots of good research but in the end It’s about SELLING.

I agree that it is a big sales bombardment, but for someone like me who is a complete novice trader, I could really use the research/advice. I’ve worked in sales for about 7 years, so the selling aspect doesn’t bother me so much as it probably does other people.

I’m a complete novice to trading, so my knowledge is very little at this point. But my question is: do you really need $2500 to open up an account and start trading? I have seen so many online brokerages which state that it is free to open an account, and many of those same brokerages state that they have no minimum balance requirements. Am I missing something? Nomi says in her sales video that most brokerages require $2500 to open an account. I contacted ETrade, and the representative I chatted with said that it depends on what type of options you are trading as to whether or not you need a minimum balance. Since I don’t have enough information, I’m hesitant to even move forward with this. If I could start trading tomorrow with $100-$500 I would start right away. But if it involves starting off with a minimum of $2500 and maintaining that balance, that’s a whole other story.

In order to “sell to open” in an options trading account, you would need a margin account which has a minimum account balance per the SEC. To “buy to open” there is no min balance except to have enough to pay for your purchase.

Thank you. I appreciate that explanation. Since that’s the case, it looks like I may not be able to participate in some (or maybe all) of these trades unless I have a margin account. Right now I only have a regular account.

CuriousLady, I’m just seeing the two Nomi Prins threads you posted in and I know it was several months ago, so I wanted to know if you are still looking for recommendations for a novice trader. If you are, I could share some of my own experiences, having shelled out way too much money myself on a bunch of these services in the last several months.

my biggest recommendation is a NON-recommendation. do NOT, no matter what, sign up for ANY raging bull services. no matter how great they sound. those guys are just a bunch of assholes trying to squeeze as much money out of you as possible, no matter how much you have already paid them. they will always try to get you to sign up for more of their services, as they seem to be creating new ones every week just for this purpose.

lastly, before you sign up for anything, read the reviews on trust pilot, the better business bureau, and any blogs you can find that are actually objective. and of course search to see if there are any discussions like this on stock gumshoe—an invaluable resource!

Do some research first. you can open account with lower amounts. call brokers and ask. Trading Options may require several things . You can quickly lose it all for one when market turns suddenly.

One more question: for those of you who have been using this service: is it realistic to believe that I can start off trading with just $100-$300 once per week and expect realistic profits? Again, I’m a complete novice, which is why a subscription service is appealing to me. However, there is no one to answer these basic questions for a novice like myself, which is sad, because I think everyone should be able to have their basic questions answered before they plop down $850 to $3,000 of non-refundable money (there is no money back guarantee anymore as stated in earlier posts). Thanks, all!

Thanks for the advice. I see what you mean. I’m really interested in subscribing to Nomi’s service, but it seems quite out of my league right now. I see that her service targets retired people, and given what you just said, I can see why. I am nowhere near retirement or retirement age, but am very interested in trading with Nomi’s strategy. So far I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to save up a bit more money before I even attempt this. Thanks for your feedback!

i signed up for the three month subscription not realizing it was unrefundable. (beware). they advertise that you can get texts by phone. ever since i signed i got one text, i called and wrote several times explaining what was happening toi no avail. today 2-24-20 i called to cancel after coming back from work and finding out that once again i had not received any texts. then i found out about the subscription being unrefundable. the whole thing is a scam, in my opinion classic buyer beware. the customer service seems to be a call center, and the operators sound either hostile or spaced out. they could care i wrote emails to nomi prims which were totally unanswered. all i am saying is the truth and i have the emails to prove it . stay away from this service.it”s no service at all .

I know it has been a long time since you posted. Hopefully you have found good info sources by now. One of the best sources of option trading sources I have found is optionalpha.com. Kirk has a lot of free videos on his website and on YouTube. I have also learned a lot from Bill Paulos of optionsrun.com I probably spent about $100 for various video trainings from Bill. The most important training I got from him was about position sizing for risk management. Keeping the risk of loss to less than 5% of my portfolio per trade has made a huge positive difference in my trading results. I also highly recommend subscribing to Investors Business Daily for about $250 per year. And to their daily zoom call at market open, IBD Live for $70 per month. They do not focus on options, only stocks. But great info that is well worth the cost. Also for $20 per year I subscribe to an email group called Molly”s Traders run by Ajit. Excellent discussions on both stocks and options with basis of IBD info. I also still recommend people read Kiyosaki ‘s Rich Dad, Poor Dad book series. It is good investor mindset and big picture thinking.
Edit: I forgot to mention IBD has a great free weekly podcast hosted by Irusha Pirus on Google podcasts. He interviews a different investment personality each episode. Really interesting g content…and free!

Option trading is not for the novice. there been other services I have used, and found that W Street. Com Which is run by Charles Payne who appears on Fox News is pretty good. I’ve made a lot of money doing it, however you have to buy six month subscription at a time and there is no guarantee. I’ve been with them for two and a half years but switch to Zach’s, Because they give you a 90-day guarantee it was actually a little bit cheaper. Both Services tell you when to buy and when to sell. It takes a while to figure out based on what your goal is, whether you’re into short-term trading or long-term investing or a combination of both. I like Zacks, because my advisor Waze available take my phone calls, calls me back or respond to my emails.

I recommend a Mark T. Deaton instead. Search him out. You can use stock or options. Generally, the Nomi Prins system seems to be based on BUYING (long) cheap OTM options when her clock signals. And the algorithm seems to be weighted towards money flow, MACD, RSI, when volume spikes above 15% from prior trading day. With Deaton you can trade both long and short and swing. Deaton is far less pricey. Plus he sends you video 2-4 nights per week with set ups

I joined this and broke even after 6 weeks. Can’t get in at entry price unless you glue the phone to your butt. Batted 3 for 3 in all.
Later joined Adem Mesh Wed. TPM pro and is 6 weeks learned a lot from him on trading and have made over $15,000. I joined for 6 months and yes will re-join again. If you don’t understand something him and Christen try very hard to explain it as best they can for you and offer to take a call from you later after the trading if you still don’t understand the system their using. Great Guys

Why would a successful woman like Nomi Prins stoop so low as to chisel what could a small fortune of $2500 from some unsuspecting novice investors? Doesn’t make sense to me. From what I have read here it would probably easier to find Big Foot than make a successful trade with this 25 Cent Options system …I guess the lure of making BIG MONEY in a short period of time is very difficult to resist!
One Options service that has been profitable for me is Greg Guenthner’s “SUNRISE PROFITS” Very simple option and stock trades. Seven Figure Publishing puts out the service!

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO KNOW! I don’t understand. Why would she do this? She is a well-respected author and public intellectual and, one would think, not desperate for money. Why risk her reputation shilling scammy-sounding stock trading services? I really wish someone could explain this. It’s one thing to wonder why all these guys (all of the similar trading services I’ve come across are by men) who have supposedly made millions trading and presumably could continue to do so need or want to go into business teaching people like us to trade or giving us stock picks or whatever. I wonder that all the time, even as I pay some of them thousands of dollars for their information and expertise. But Nomi Prins? I’d never heard of any of the random guys pedaling their stock services online. But not only is she the only one with a recognizable name, she is the real deal—a respected expert on economic policy. Why would she demean herself like this. I just don’t get it. Anyone have any theories?

You would not believe the huge amounts of money that can be made selling financial news services. It is far beyond what you can make trading. And, there is very little risk – unlike trading. I know because I have worked in the industry.

My suggestion would be to contact the SEC for misrepresentation of the service. All of the recommendations are between 9:30 AM and 9:55 AM; therefore, there is no dark money spike, that she eludes to monitor, at 10:00 AM that the propaganda video claims there is.

I wouldn’t say this is a scam or fraud because Agora Financial, through which this service is offered, does have decent trading programs. I currently use 3 of them and have covered my cost to subscribe plus more. This is just a very difficult and fast moving program that small investors just don’t have a chance of making any money. They do allow you to change to one of their other programs in lieu of a refund. Agora is reputable. Hope this helps.

I can see where you can make some money, but the problem is that the normal person cannot catch the prices they recommend to buy in at. I don’t know how they do it, but in their recaps of the trade they always show getting in at lower prices. Forget it for the average retail investor. I’ve been following for 6 weeks now. This does take very close watching at least during the first hour of market open and you have to be ready to cancel if not filling your order by then There’s not much chance of covering your annual $3,000 cost unless you make bigger trades. very high risk. Buyer beware.

This programme is a rip off. There is no way you can get those tips on in time and the so called ‘proprietary signals’ are nonsense – they’re just following the odd bit of detectable volume. It is a slick sales operation for a product you cannot make money on, is massively overpriced and you cannot get your money back. Steer well clear of this and any similar scams.

I am a rather sophisticated trader. Shame on me…I didn’t do enough research before buying into this one. THis is an absolute scam. Like many said, you need to have your brokerage account screen glued to your head to be able to get in and then get out to make any profit. The ad for the service says “we send you sell alerts”. BS!! No sell alerts. You “set the alerts based on your risk tolerance”. Firstly, the ads for the service show 10s of trades making 100% to 600%. Well, it you have to set a limit yourself, unless you set a limit at 200% or 600% you are never going to make 200% or 600%. And if you set it that high and the option only increases 50%, you’ll never make anything because you will be left hanging. Her literature promotes a leave it for the day and come home to gains. NO. IMPOSSIBLE. You have to watch this thing like a hawk. Go to the bathroom and you can lose your shirt if the “momentum stops” . Complete false adverstising and misrepresentation. Send an email to “asknomi@parardigm.press”. BS. It will never be answered. This is pure scam. If you are any kin d of investor, sophisticated or not, stay away from this. YOU CANNOT MAKE MONEY WITH THIS PLATFORM. YOU WON’T GET YOUR MONEY BACK. Nomi, shame on you. Such a genuis, go pray on people who can affort it, not the little guy.

I am a “seasoned” investor – or at least I thought. I have lost over $100k using this service. EVERY SINGLE RECOMMENDATION, pops up a penny or two within (literally) seconds, then drops like the Hindenburg. Last week I actually went against the alert and purchased PUTS – Made some money back. I have also sold open calls and made money that way with the alert service. So basically – DO THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT SHE RECOMMENDS!

This is a strategy that could work. If the service is advising you to buy far out of the money options, you are buying options with low open interest. As the flood gates open, (just after 10 am right?) the price of the option could really pop. No wonder few can catch the recommended price. It would be interesting to test waiting until just before the close and selling call spreads at the current price. Or, you could buy puts if you aren’t comfortable with spreads. I don’t take the service so I can’t test it.

STAY AWAY from this service. It has been nothing but loss 90% of the time. It is impossible to get in at price they recommend. Believe me, I have it down to a quick draw when their alert comes. Of course they show profit on every trade… but that is not what the investorship experiences. Sorry to all of you that bought into this service.
