I subscribed from March to June 2016 – I certainly agree with most all the comments above – all except the glowing one, which is highly suspicious. “Results” I got didn’t even remotely match those claimed by Bottarelli, and the pace of trading required to even place trades at reasonable prices was almost impossible (in my experience) to achieve.

I use Bank America’s ShopSafe program , which allows me to set up a virtual credit card number for a limited dollar amount and time period. That way if I pay for a trial subscription for $10, my virtual credit card limit is $10 and the expiration date is 30 days from the date of virtual card creation, I cannot be auto-renewed and charged for a new subscription. I have used the ShopSafe BoA feature many times without ever being auto-renewed.

With so many subscribers, by the time the email is received, read, and acted upon, you’ve missed the opportunity. Very difficult to get into a position at his target price. Target price has moved substantially most times. So, when he declares profits, it’s only for himself and the first few clients in…everyone else doesn’t realize those profits.

Bottarelli is a flat out scam artist! He recommends plays in illiquid names, and then marks his “entries” and “exits” at levels that hardly anyone is able to achieve. Couple that with the fact that you’re paying commissions getting both into and out of positions (that obviously aren’t reflected in his records, and are often for multiple legs of a single trade) and suddenly this service becomes a guaranteed way to lose your money. Aside from that, his explanations for trades don’t even make any sense. “Last quarter stock XYZ moved a lot on earnings, so I think it will again this quarter.” Gee, you think maybe the market makers in stock XYZ have given any thought to how much their stock might move too? Literally do anything else with your money than sign up for BR.

Agree 100%.
Bottarelli is a SCAM –
I used this service for 3 months (quarterly was the only payment option). I understand options very well. Within a few signals I knew its a scam. Its a combination of illiqid options and big spreads which make it impossible to execute the trade. But Bryan Bottarelli claims his profits on paper (on website) regardless. When I asked for refund, there is no refund option only switch services to some other service which was NONE.

Have to agree with the majority of comments here. I was subscribed with most of Bottarelli’s option services for about 12 months and it was a disaster. I have to assume responsibility for pulling the trigger on the trades, but in almost every case I could not achieve the firm’s stated results. I was day trading options and spent every moment when the market was open in front of a TradeStation trading screen, but it didn’t matter. I even wrote Bryan Bottarelli to complement his trading prowess because I could execute a trade recommendation within 30 secs after receiving a text notification and I could rarely achieve his buy and sell results. Personally I believe his books were cooked so I let my subscriptions expire, probably about 6 months too late. I wish I found StockGumshoe before I had subscribed and ended up paying dearly for a financial life lesson involving day trading options. The only people making money on these services are the shills and the guys receiving subscription money.

I’ve been with Bottarelli off and on for years. Something always happens that isn’t quite on the up and up. Today, another one occurred. A non-issued alert was referenced and and another “congratulations on a big win” was announced. The alerts page was quickly (a little too quickly) modified to show the alert, but they merely changed the existing entry, rather than add one.

Yep, profits are embellished, losses are minimized or not reported. As they say on Shark Tank, “I’m out”.

I watched the replay & cannot believe people would buy into his double bottom W & inverted head & shoulders as an M. All the profits he displayed were in/out at tops or bottoms which is impossible in live day trading.

Exact same research I’m doing as you, after attending Bryan Bottarelli’s-“The War Room” today (2019 Mai 08). I just recently realized all his Buy and Sell Signals are refers to Options and not Stocks, somehow he missed this topic on his “LIVE” presentation today, his explanation is very poor! His Trading Results are Not Clear, Some Numbers with % on a Clear Paper I can do the same. Where is his Verified Track Record, Real Trade Notes, Real Trading Account Performance List???? Be Honest, To Good To Be True! He Didn’t Convince Me! Please let me know how you decided, did you signed for it, and what is your experience???

I recently subscribed to Bottarelli’s War Room. The recommendations are ok but you need to stay on top of them and act promptly because the records of the recommendations and the listed portfolio can and are altered to make the service look better than it is. For example, one recommendation a day ago never traded below 2.30. The next am it is listed as having been bought at $2.14 yielding an instant profit of .20/share on the option. Today a recommendation should have been stopped at the market opening for a loss. After the opening Bottarelli claimed that he had sent an alert 15 min before the open to lower the stop so the option would not be stopped out. A number of subscribers claimed that they (including myself) had not received that alert. The option opened higher for a profit but those who did not receive the altered stop alert (which was everybody) had a loss. It would have been almost impossible to miss the alert as alerts are accompanied by a loud bell sound.
Yesterday a tried a alert a fellow subscriber who was puzzled by inconsistencies in price as Bottarelli’s pattern of deceit. The post stayed up only about a minute. I received a message from the moderator that disparaging posts would not be allowed. I was later informed that criticism of the service was not allowed.
Unfortunately i am stuck with the service since it does not offer a money back guarantee.
Beware these are despicable people, right out of the novel 1984.

I have just received an email from Bottarelli’s Trade of the Day that I wanted to share. By-the-way, I never originally subscribed for this newsletter. What is your opinion?
This email made me quite upset – with the heading “Maybe you are an idiot” – in Zambia, reference to anyone’s actions as being an idiot can get you a solid beating because it is considered an insult to merely utter such words. The actual email is as follows…..
Maybe You Are an Idiot
Bryan Bottarelli, Head Trade Tactician, Monument Traders Alliance
I’ve been messaging you all week – including earlier today.
I’ve tried everything to get you in The War Room.
But you just keep making excuses.
Well, here’s what you missed this week.
On Wednesday, a trade I recommended on FedEx turned into one of our biggest winners ever – 400% overnight.
And War Room members made a ton of money.
War Room Member Robert D. said “FDX was good for me… Made $11,200.”
Mark D. told us he made enough to “pay for [his] daughter’s car.”
Mark P. wrote, “HUGE THANK YOU for the FDX trade! Just bagged $10,350!”
We’re talking about more than $10,000 overnight for these people.
So yeah… sorry if this hurts your feelings, but if you don’t join after seeing all the money people are making day after day…
Then yes, you truly are an idiot.
Real truth?
I’m shutting down the invitation tonight. No idiots allowed from here on out.
Yours in smart speculation,
Bryan Bottarelli, Head Trade Tactician
Monument Traders Alliance
P.S. A few more messages from people who were ballsy enough to start making money the FAST way:
“In at $3.45 out at $17.10 = 496%” – Dale A.
“Awesome FDX bot @ $3.40, closed @ $17.59. Great trade Bryan – congrats!” – Terry S.
“WOOOOW!!!!!! FDX open at $3.39 and closed at incredible $18.86. THANKS BRYAN!” – Ramon S.
“In at $4.13 out at $21.01. I will need a calculator to figure these profits. Boom!” – Hall
“Just beginning with the War Room: 333%” – Michael E.

I also received that same insulting email. He must think that insulting the public will bring him business. He most certainly lost my potential business and I am amazed that the OXFORD GROUP does not drop him. Oxford Group has a good reputation and Bottarelli is doing nothing but hurting them.

I agree generally with most of the comments about Bryan Bottarelli in that, as most wise and experienced traders say, “it’s too good to be true”. There is always the question, why does anyone who is so successful, want to spend their time running an alert service? As many of the other comments indicate, it’s another case of ‘over promise and under deliver’ and who are the best people that do that. I’ll leave you to decide.
I tried numerous services during my early years of trading and investing, and rarely did a trade go how it was alerted or reported. As one commenter said, it’s a figment of imagination. I guess most of us have imagined how great it would have been to be in that trade.
Disappointedly I have to ask, what on earth is the Oxford Club doing promoting Bryan Bottarelli? I personally know a few key people in the Oxford Club and some are balanced and fair people. This is negative for their fragile reputation. I’ll be watching for any more dubious relationships.

The Oxford Club CEO is friends with Bryan Bottarelli, so obviously there is cognitive bias involved. And now Karim Rahemtulla has joined forces with Bottarelli. Either they are naive or its just a wink and a nod for what is involved in this space.

It is always easier to get a steady income stream providing investment advisory or signals than trading for risk. Trading is never as consistent as someone would like it to be.

I joined Bryan Bottarelli’s group on a recommendation from some lady with The Oxford Club. I informed them I was a novice at options. They assured me I did not have to be knowledgeable I should just follow BB recommendations.. As Mitch from above said. Mr BB would send out an alert but by the time (seconds ) I placed the order the recommendation was no good. So I called them and told them to take me out of their War Room until I familiarized myself; got more education in options. I see now that it is a lifetime commitment. I just blew $2,000 on his service. Not worth the money. This service is for the advanced experienced trader. One will do better going to meetup groups that are active in options. A lot of videos on youtube.

I am a current member of this service. I am not a happy camper. In 60 days I have lost 10k but I am now trying to adapt a different plan and approach. One could be doing the exact opposite of what is recommended. Second, abandon trading strangles at all. Not making money there. In fact that is where most of my losses have come from. I will say this. Karim is a bona fide individual who I trust very much. His Sell to open trades (STO) trades are usually very profitable. No need to bad mouth Bryan, everyone else seems to have done that quite well. I have traded most trades. I have made 95 trades since Sep 16th. I am still calculating the results but they are not very good. As I said, I lost 10k in Oct alone. I am now in the service for Karim’s trades and maybe one or two made by other traders who seem to make money routinely. That is if they are truthful and honest in what they say and do. Time will tell. Karim is from Oxford Club. I trust his expertise in trading. He is no slouch. I want to see more STO trades from Karim. I will make that suggestion on Monday. Sorry to hear about everyone’s disappointing results.

Doesn’t Byran Bottarelli have some type of guarantee that he will have 300 winning trades by year end or he will work the following year for free? At least hold him to that.

I have had to back off, losing too much money. Joined in Sept. Lost 13,000 in Oct. If that is success, I don’t want to see bad times. Strangles are a guaranteed way to lose money. I have tracked all my trades. Wins 18% Losers 82%. Avoid at all cost. I had hoped for better returns. They are just not there.

Thanks for all your comments. The War Room ad about Overnight Trades seemed to be too good to be true. Just so you know I have been subscribed to Michael Shulman’s Option Income Blueprint (OIB) for over 5 years. It is very good – mostly selling puts, some calls. I don’t know what he is charging these days as I bought a lifetime subscription for $997 last year after paying $697 per year for about 4-5 years. He is very good in his alerts – emails and texts.
He has other services also, but his OIB is the one to start with.

I hope this helps and I thank stock gumshoe for providing us this forum to keep us safe from scammers out there.

I was in the service for about a month. I had the same experience as most commenters here. Even when being right at the trading desk and jumping immediately on an alert, it was more often than not the order didn’t fill, or filled out of range. There are enough subscribers to the service that it actually moves the market when he sends out an alert. I would like to see an investigation into whether Bottarelli is trading his own recommendations just before he sends out the alert. The advertisement is way beyond deceptive. I am a premium Oxford Club member, and I really like that service. I’ve done very well with them. They are damaging their good reputation by being associated with Bottarelli’s service, IMO.

Stay AWAY! This is service is garbage. I cannot disagree with the any of the previous posts.
Here is how it works: Brian Botterelli gives options advice for short term trades, while Karim gives advice over longer periods of time. The service gives you access to a handful of videos to tell you how to trade and advises two weeks of paper trading. As far as having your questions answered by the “moderator” you can forget it. The moderator will refer you back to the video and not answer anything.

I have followed the exact procedures and come up short when it counts. The reason the War Room can claim such a high level of success is because they make frequent winning option trades. You may make many small gainsin a very short period of time. The problem is that when the trade does not work, chances are you will lose your initial investment or “roll” that investment into another trade. This avoids having to sell at a loss and is a gamble that the put or call will rebound prior to the next expiration date which does not usually happen. So what you get is a lot of small wins which are wiped out by a big loss.

Another favorite advertising theme is the overnight winner. Brian I booked a 100% gain on yesterdays ABC stock earning strangle! Thanks!
In reality you made 100% on the put, sold the call for pennies and barely broke even.

Karim does a better job trading microcap stocks and using LEAP options, but I would stay far, far away from this service.

Accurate description gregpro. I joined in Nov 2020. I am now at a $2500 loss. I have contacted the War Room about a refund but was told there is none. They said I can switch the service over to an Oxford Club service. The only reason I joined was because the Oxford Club supported it. The war room was supposed to send me an email with Oxford Club service options. To date, I have not received it. I already receive two reports from the Oxford Club. I will contact OC direct to get this cleared up.

BB is following the playbook of Raging Bull et. al.: Fake track records, non-representative testimonials, browbeating customers, suppressing disgruntled readers’ negative feedback. The Feds have launched an operation called “Income Illusion” that has currently swept up about 50 scam operators, including RB, Money Map Press, and others.

Contact the FTC attorneys trying the Raging Bull case. The complaint is signed by Colleen Robbins crobbins@ftc.gov alongside a bunch of others. Send her an email providing her with your info.

On December 7, 2020, the Federal Trade Commission filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court in Baltimore, Maryland against RagingBull.com, LLC and several affiliated entities and individuals. The suit is captioned Federal Trade Commission v. RagingBull.com, et al., Case No. 20:cv-3538. By order of the Court dated December 8, 2020, Peter E. Keith, Esq. has been appointed Temporary Receiver of RagingBull.com, LLC and other affiliated entities. A Receiver is an officer of the Court who is authorized to take control of businesses on behalf of the Court. Mr. Keith reports directly to the Court. He does not represent the Federal Trade Commission, and he is not a lawyer for Raging Bull or any of the defendants.

By order of the Court, Mr. Keith will continue as Temporary Receiver until at least February 5, 2021, when the Court has scheduled a hearing on the Federal Trade Commission’s motion for a preliminary injunction.

At this time, refunds are not being made to any subscribers. The United States District Court for the District of Maryland may, at some time in the future, determine that some amount of refunds may be paid.

Mr. Keith very much appreciates your patience with this process. The Temporary Receiver has created a website at https://receiver-ragingbull.com/. We will work to keep the receivership website updated, and you may refer to that website for further information.
