The ETF plays were great, i was slow to get on board the train but since Nov 2018, after jumping on I have fared quite well . I closed out TQQQ for a gain of close to 53%, UPW for about 22% and just closed out UGE after holding it for a 4 weeks for over 11%. Had to temeporarily cancel my subscription as I will be unable to accces the markets for almost 3 monts, but will sign up ASAP after that. Cancellation process was a breeze
Very happy with the results and Customer service is phenomenal. I am member of both Market Update and ETF trend trader service. As a market update subscriber I get this service for free which is a great bonus considering it costs $299 per year.

Thanks to Stockgumshoe I found this service and I am very happy with the ETF service. I subscribe to both their services and after 6 months I am very happy with their insights and performance. I was particularly impressed with the way they handled the market volatility over the past 3 months.
Normally I would have been tempted to sell and even short, but their reasoning and usage of Mass Psychology convinced me to buy during that volatile period. Had I shorted the results would have been disastrous as the Dow has almost recouped all its losses.
If you play ETF’s, stocks and options then you can get this service for free by subscribing to the Market update. It’s a great bonus as you are getting a 300 dollar service for free and the Market update goes for 450 a year so for 150 more you get stock and options plays. If you are only interested in ETF’s then look no further. I am very happy with the service and that’s the reason i have penned this review. Their insights into the mass mindset set and how the crowd reacts to stimuli in the wrong way are phenomenal
I never post a comment unless I have tested a service for 9 months and as I am usually disappointed before the testing phase is up, I hardly post comments. I have been with the tactical investor for 9.5 months and I have to conclude that most of the comments are on the money. Customer service is second to none, there is no cross marketing of services. Their calls are excellent. I would say that I have made money on 75% or more of the stocks, options, currencies, and ETF’s they recommend. It could have been as high as 84% but on some occasions I overstayed my welcome by trying to squeeze the last ounce of profit.
I subscribe to both the ETF trend trader service and market update service. The deal was just too good to pass. As some other subscribers noted, you play only 150 more and you get the 3X more.
They no longer seem to be trading. The website http://etftrendtradingsystems.com goes nowhere. Is there a different website for this service? Thanks for any comments

What returns have subscribers seen in your own portfolio using tactical investor?
This year, I’m up over 16% on the Trend Portfolio and over 20%+ last year. I don’t use the ETF service (lack of interest in ETFs unless an ETF appears as a pick in one of the other portfolios) or the Moderate to High Risk Portfolio as I’ve only just set up my spreadsheets to cover the increasing use of options. I have started using their new AI Trend Tracker this month and am up 0.5% on four positions.
I agree with all the positive comments so far – it is a remarkable service and Sol’s writings, like Stock Gumshoe’s, arm you against the sheer volume of bullshit out there.

I signed up about two months ago and the service is along the lines of what other subscribers described here. The customer service is great; they responded to all my questions. I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that all the responses were detailed in nature. I had gotten used to no responses or some cookie cutter responses but their replies had a personal touch to them. I took the limited Market Update Special that provides the ETF trend trader service for free as a bonus. Overall I am satisfied with the service.
A subscriber for 3 months and so far I am very happy with results. Will post another update in a few months if I have the time.
I am subscribed to the Tactical Investor/ETF Trend Trader Service for a total of three weeks now. I am very impressed with their operations and procedures, particularly the highlighting of information that novice traders like myself should pay special attention to, and the way they recommend additional information if I need it, and where to find/get it. I like the fact that they promptly respond to my questions in broad and simplified detail, and close with the caveat that I am to reply/let them know if I still have concerns. I also like the way they caution that knowledge, knowing and understanding the material is a prerequisite for successful trading, not rushing, because another trade will always come along, so it is best to know how to handle it. I have developed a great respect for them, their philosophy, their system, their friendliness and courtesy. Three weeks now but I could neither be more pleased with, nor felt a part of, Sol Palha community.
Why no recent updates here? Is etf trend trader / Tactical Investor still in operation as of Feb. 2021?

It is still operational. I joined about 5 months ago and I receive at least 3 updates a month. I am pleased enough with the service that I converted my monthly subscription to a yearly subscription. As to why individuals are not posting comments as often. Maybe it’s seasonal or maybe people are too busy with other issues. COVID really changed the way the world operates.
Can’t say enough about ETF Trend Trader! Straight forward with no hype. Most plays have paid off handsomely. It keeps me grounded and keeps my fear/greed at bay. Love it!
They provide very little information regarding this service; how does it work? do they have a portfolio of ETFs or do they issue ETF recommendations for sectors/themes, etc? Thanks in advance!
They do provide ETF recommendations, they look for ETF’s that are trading in the oversold ranges on the monthly charts. As I am a market update subscriber I generally tend to invest in the more aggressive ETF’s that are offered in the secondary portfolio. There are primary candidates with low risk and secondary candidate with higher risk. From what I can see over 90% of the plays have performed well.
The best option is to take the trial service it’s relatively cheap at 24.99 for 30 days and you get to test both the ETF and Market update service. If its your cup of tea, you can stay
Since I am limited on what I can invest in for my 401K, I’m very happy that Tactical investor provides this service. If you join, you will be too! Great value for the service and customer service!
This is the best service I have found. It has completely transformed the way I trade, and turned my investments from negative returns to very profitable. It doesn’t over use fancy technical analysis but simply finding trends, and gauges mass psychology to make good investment choices, that with patience and time, pays off handsomely.
Great service, great customer service, the smartest group of people i have ever been assosiated with. Up 65% in 1yr of a “pandemic” and i am a newbie to all of this. Cant say enough good things about these guys.
Do they make daily recommendations? Or they only provide the the three times a month newsletter?
No daily trades. All trades are position trades and I prefer it this way as it’s entails less stress and the results have been excellent to date. If you are looking for a day trading service, then this service is definitely not for you
Great service! Excellent tips and analysis. Been a member for more than a year and plan to auto renew. The stock tips easily cover the cost. The advice on mass psychology and how to use it to your advantage is awesome. This service is great if you need help getting ahead in the stock market. Learning how to be a tactical investor has dramatically improved my returns. I no longer fear the dips and there is no reason for me to chase trades. Sol and his team provide timely updates and stick to their plan.
I can’t add much more praise for Sol’s work than has already been said here. I joined in August and have had a great experience. I wish I had found Sol long ago!
I started subscribing to ETF Trend Trader in Oct 2019
So I am into my second annual subscription
Typically, I receive three ETF Updates per month via Email
Strategy is to buy ETF when its price has dropped, then later sell it for a profit
ETF Trend Trader gives complete set of parameters
These are ETF symbol, entry price range, exit price range
Sometimes stop loss price
I suspect few investment newsletters provide complete set of parameters
People with insufficient patience and discipline may be unable to follow ETF Trend Trader directions
I created first Buy Limit Order in early Nov 2019
After almost four months later, first Buy Order was filled
Results described below were acquired by following ETF Trend Trader directions without deviation
Also, I only traded lower risk ETFs called Primary Candidates
I completely avoided higher risk ETFs called Secondary Candidates
There are fills of 17 Buy orders involving 13 different ETFs
Dates of first & last fills are 26Feb2020 and 05Mar2021
There are fills of 14 Sell orders involving 9 different ETFs
Dates of first & last fills are 09Mar2020 and 25Jan2021
Here are the gains of these Sell orders :-
-23% , 15% , 53% , 17% , 28% , 37% , 12% , 44% , 72% , 46% , 97% , 79% , 38% , 26%
The first Sell order fill resulted in a 23% loss
This Sell order was a Stop Loss Sell Order
Fortunately, the following 13 Sell order fills were of the normal type and resulted in gains
I am quite happy with the overall result of my ETF trading as directed by ETF Trend Trader
I just looked at their site, https://tacticalinvestor.com, and it looks incredibly dated (not only the appearance of it, but all references to dates in the site, i.e. the latest “testimonial” is from 2017, they talk about their “our biggest winner of 2019 so far is TQQQ”, etc.). Are these guys still on their A-game? I’ve seen some sites that used to go gangbusters, but some of these guys lose their mojo after a while. Curious is anyone can comment on their more recent experiences. Thanks in advance.
