The entry-level newsletter from George Gilder launched in 2019, sort of a continuation of the Gilder Technology Report he published in the 1990s. Monthly newsletter promising “little-known investment opportunities that are tied to emerging technology trends.” Switched publishes to Three Founders Publishing in 2020 but otherwise appears unchanged.

This newsletter appears to have begun in the middle of 2019 so most of his recommendations are up since then. The newsletter is ALL about technology with one or two exceptions. The monthly article is trying to explain advanced ideas to the rest of us; sometimes he makes it and sometimes he doesn’t. In that time they have built up a portfolio of 24 stocks; a few of which are from something called the “Special Situations Portfolio” that must come from another newsletter.
What are his latest picks
Just listened to GG’s very long video on his latest MOON SHOTS letter. Sounded interesting but the price was out of sight…$2,500 for a year. Travis can you give us some insight into what he is selling as 15G? Thanks.

Subscribed to Gilder’s Moonshots for $2500. Soon after saw $2000 offers. Been investing in this program for a few months. Have 12 of the stocks so far. I have read Life after Google by Gilder and watched youtiube videos by him. Enjoy his thinking , and recognize his signs of aging but think he is a good resourc
Hoping his staff is as capable in the detailed analysis as he Implies. They do not respond to electronic inquiries. Had trouble finding info on website but think I have it figured out now.
Using this as my at risk/ speculative hope for reward. Time will tell. Get lots

I read George Gilder’s Life After Google and was highly impressed. My experience with his newsletter is a 180. There’s little wisdom, but many ramblings, takes to much time to try and cut through the muck, a really bad interface for mobile devices and an overall crappy experience 9f getting mostly no brainer recommendations and little new fruit. There’s also Gilder’s countless and non-relenting pitches that pepper my email like the Russian artillery hitting Berlin during Gilder’s youth. Sure, I’d love to pay you a lot more for a prime filet when everything you’ve cooked sucks.
This seems to be mostly about him being him on which topic he is very congratulatory.
I’ve been receiving the George Gilder Report for about 9 months. The monthly reports are in-depth analyses of individual companies, almost all tech. I’ve used the recommendations as an idea source and after researching further have invested in some with decent results. He did call out Luminar and I’m kicking myself for not getting into the Gores Metropolis SPAC before LAZR went live yesterday. I still might pick up some after the dust settles.
My only complaint is the steady stream of emails offering discounts if you sign up for another year which started filling my inbox only a couple months after my 1 year subscription started. Last month I added another year for $39 and am still getting offers to add another year at a discount. George is getting old so I’m not willing to commit more than 1 year at a time.
I have been a subscriber for almost a year. Not satisfied with publication. I believe that George is a knowledgeable investor and I do enjoy reading is letter but I get more emails to upgrade than I do investment advice. Less upgrade emails and more substance would be good.
Sorry: Started with GG in August and found his rants a little out of the ordinary but his info is pretty good. Bought INFN at 6.03 and today at 10+. Qcom/Cien/Txn/Pstg/Syna/Tsem – all doing good. I’m still new at this but willing to listen to him
Gilder seems to have a following, and when he makes a recommendation the stock goes up. Of course, since the spring bottom, technology stocks, with or without Gilder, have been rocketing ever upward.
I’m reminded of the old saying, “what goes up must go down”, but it just doesn’t seem to apply this time around.
One of his big picks, QCOM, took some time to get going, but has been appreciating rapidly in the past few months.
So, he’s had very many successful picks this year, while he continually pushes his elite service. I don’t quite get it. I’m sure he has lots of money to invest. Why doesn’t he just buy up the 1000% moonshots that he won’t share with the riffraff? Or does he do that prior to telling his clientele about them?
Selling subscriptions is a much steadier and more scalable business than investing your own capital. With much less risk of loss.
All 3 of the Thinkaltors choices were correct on GG Spectrum pitch. I gotta tell ya Travis, I am a HUGE Fan. Your debunking of these “Pitches” is wonderful. I took a small position in INFN, just in case!
I am a subscriber of George Gilder’s Report. I have made money on some of his picks. George is very technology savvy and understands the current and future direction of technology. He knows all the big guns that created the current technology and his vision for the future is very exciting. He gives you his recommendations and you can then research on your own. He recommendations are not quick in and out of the market with a profit type. He has stocks in his portfolio that has been around for many years. The price of his report is miniscule to the information he supplies that is very valuable if you understand how to use it.
