  1. thanks. I opted not to try to benefit from the breathlessly outrageous innuendo that somebody is going to gain because of Obamacare requiring more doctors’ offices and just sat back and watched Travis’s cautious tale of PLOW which I bought during the worst peak of our snowstorms.
What we really need to get the promotion gang excited about Douglas Dynamics is to discover a conspiracy by corrupt New England town councils to cash in on the bad weather by taking kickbacks from snow-plow makers.
This is just about as likely as medicos cashing in on the evil spread of (gasp) health insurance required by (eek) the Government because they have an inside line to Pres. Obama.

  2. An alert note from a reader who wanted me to know that I missed one of the better comparables to DOC, FYI:

You completely failed to mention the leader in “pure” MOB Reits——-HTA. Here’s an article on HTA (Jan 15) Brad Thomas. Shows HTA is 4+ times greater in market cap than DOC. Also, based on “Secured Debt” — HTA is 27.5%, DOC is 54.4%. Also, P/FFO — HTA is 20.1, DOC is 23.6. Finally, HTA’s payout ratio AFFO is 73%

Here’s article and analysis of HTA

    Hi Travis,
I just wanted to put in a little note here. If you remember I was having a terrible time with your website from over here in China. Remember me telling you it loaded so slow that after clicking on it instead of sitting here waiting for it to open I would get up and go do something else or just get up and walk around for a while. LOL. Ahh it was so pathetic!

Well my internet service finally got so bad here I had to start using a VPN. And WOW!! what a difference it has made! Not only can I now access all the sites that are blocked here: Facebook, You-tube, Twitter,,, Now everything is so much faster than before. Even your site now opens almost instantly for me. I knew about VPNs getting you around the great firewall, but I didn’t know they would speed up my connection so. Heck I would’ve started using one long ago. It costs me $131/yr. and worth every penny.

Just wanted to let you know my problem’s finally been solved!

Now that we’ve entered another absurd episode of investors collectively holding their breath while awaiting the next utterance from Our Dear Leader (I mean the Fed), here’s something to consider:

Travis, you recommended a couple of titles for new investors a while back but I didn’t make note and can’t find the post. Would you please list them again? I have a lot of learning to do!
