What can I say or add that has not already been said. To start off with I agree with what almost everyone has said about the service so far. Their strategy is sold, it works and if you listen you can learn a lot. The private forums are simply awesome, probably worth the price of the subscription alone. And the New AI Trend trader service is also fantastic but its only available to market update subscribers. To date, I am up 55% on the Market Update portfolio and as for the AI service based on just two plays SIEB which are part of the bonus portfolio and IRBT, I am up over 150%. I also locked in 280% on Google Calls.

Suggestion. take the trial if you like it stick with it, if you don’t you are only out 24.99

This is the best service I have found. It has completely transformed the way I trade, and turned my investments from negative returns to very profitable. It doesn’t over use fancy technical analysis but simply finds trends, and gauges mass psychology to make good investment choices, that with patience and time, pays off handsomely.

This is an amazing service, it is so much more than just investment advice. These guys see the world for what it is and call out all of the bs. They have suggested materials for higher level thinking etc. Its a bit to wrap your head around if your new to the game as i was and really still am, but they give you such confidence in what they say and have resources to expand your knowledge on everything from the markets to suggested reading material that get into way more diverse interesting things. I have been with them for 2yrs, followed and monitored how they performed for the 1st year and then dipped my toe in, i am up 65% this year and there is so much more to learn on their site. The most intelligent group of people i have ever been assosiated with. Ironically i found them through stock gumshoe reviews. I cannot reccomended enough.

I’m new to this news letter I’ve had it for about 12 months. I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed I have 10 or so newsletters and I’m making a killing. The logic behind the writing is enlightening its advice that an investor like me needs to succeed. I turned 30,000 into over 200,000 since March 2020. I have pulled back from the market and I’m waiting thanks to this news letter. I haven’t even tried there model portfolio. I”M WAITING. Knowledge is power!!!!!!!

Been following for roughly 6 months and have been very pleased. It teaches / reminds me to be patient, which is paying off handsomely. The method and alert style was a bit hard to follow at first, but that’s not in any way a criticism, just wasn’t what I was used to. Later, based on a recommendation of another subscriber, I started to track the stocks via Google sheets and used the “Google Finance” function to update daily pricing. This made it a lot easier for me to glance at the sheet everyday, and enter only the orders come within X% of the targeted price.

I can’t add much more praise for Sol’s work than has already been said here. I joined in August and have had a great experience. I wish I had found Sol long ago!

I’ve been a subscriber for a while but have had problems actually making a trade. I would appreciate any advice about how you address the following issues::

1. I find the number of positions overwhelming. I know you are supposed to choose based on your risk tolerance and view of the position. Any tips on how to do this?

2. When the stop order strategy was changed to stop on close I was unable to find a way to implement the order automatically. I much prefer to setup my orders when I establish a position. My ideal would be a set it and forget it approach. I realize this isn’t possible as the service changes recommendations periodically and adjustments have to be made. Does anyone have suggestions about automating orders as much as possible?

I think you would be better served by posting that question in the Market Update private forum. There are lot of smart traders there and many have been with the service for over 8 years. I will provide a brief overview of what I do. I select stocks that appeal to me and I tend to restrict them to the Main Portfolio (primary candidates) and ETF primary candidate plays.

As for the end of day stop. I use an app that warns me when the price is hit, then I check the price at the end of the day. If the stock closes at or below the stop price I place a GTC sell order for the next day

Sol and his team are amazing at what they do. ‘ve learned and earned several times what I pay for the subscription. They have a forum that is a great tool for all traders and investors to communicate and share ideas.

There is nothing more that I can add to the comments that have already been posted here. Other than to say they are all correct and that I am very happy to have stumbled upon a service that is not full of hype and delivers results. And thank goodness a place like stock gumshoe exists for the other review sites are full of fake reviews. This site is a godsent

Market Update is a newsletter that focusses on trading rather than investing. (Even though the site is called Tactical Investor.)

I will be forever grateful to Stock Gum Shoe because I found the Market Update newsletter through this site! I subscribed to it after taking the top-rated newsletters from this site and comparing the scores and the number of votes and comments, and reading the comments. My husband is an investor, and I started my investing using his newsletters, so even with my short experience trading, I was able to see how various advisors perform.

With Market Update, I started by using Sol Palha’s inexpensive 1 month trial.

The differences between Sol Palha and the other advisors are many.

1 – COST: His newsletters are a bargain compared to most. (He has more than 1, including one that focusses on Artificial Intelligence)

2 – UPSELLS: Every other investment advisor I’ve seen (Stock Gum Shoe excepted) inundates your inbox with ads trying to upsell you, often disguised as investment advice. Sol Palha does almost NO promoting of his newsletters!

3 – HISTORY: Upon signing up for a 1-month trial, in addition to some educational articles, I received, several years of newsletter back-issues, including portfolios. That gave me a chance to compare past performance.

4 – PERFORMANCE: While trying to evaluate various advisors, I created spreadsheets comparing their advice with performance. I found several would “fudge” their numbers to make their performance look better. I did not find that to be the case with Sol Palha. In fact, his portfolios reflect ACTUAL REPORTED PERFORMANCE of his followers. He requests that subscribers report when they follow his advice with purchases and sales. He then uses the average entry and exit prices of the subscribers in the portfolios.
Because I joined late summer last year, I also compared various advisors’ performance thru the March pandemic “crash”. His advice was that the trend was still upward: don’t panic, and it’s a great time to BUY. The result was huge gains in the portfolio.

5 – APPROACH: (takes a bit of getting used to) Don’t let emotions control your decisions. Entry prices are always below market. Wait for the market to come to you; don’t chase it. In general, break investments into thirds, and purchase the stock as the price drops. Break sales into halves, and sell as the price goes up.

6 – STYLE: The newsletters are not as polished as the others I’ve seen. They often include some grammatical errors. Sometimes get a little touchy-feely. BUT IT’S THE RESULTS THAT COUNT. I would rather that he and his team focus on the analysis and advice than use resources nit-picking punctuation, etc. The “touchy-feely” approach actually helps you learn to keep your emotions out of your investing, maintain emotional balance, and to not follow the crowds. I don’t always agree with his “higher level thinking” reading suggestions, but who am I to argue with SUCCESS?

7 – FORUMS: He has a couple of forums in which subscribers participate. Questions are welcome, and we learn from each other. Sol follows the discussions and jumps in when he disagrees or has something to add. Wonderful opportunity to interact.

8 – FREQUENCY: The newsletters aren’t on a strict schedule, but average 1-3 times per month. He doesn’t scramble to come up with a great sounding recommendation (that may be B.S.) just because the calendar says it’s time for a newsletter. The newsletters are issued when needed. Minor updates between the issued newsletters are posted in the forums.

Following the advice in his newsletters allowed me to get out of the hole I dug myself into by following other newsletters. I am now building a nice nest egg!

The market update is just the name of the service. The same applies to the ETF trend trader. The site is called the Tactical Investor. This link will get you there https://tacticalinvestor.com/

There is nothing that I can add to the many great comments here other than to state that the customer service is incredible. They always reply and the responses are detailed. If you don’t read the information they provide, which takes about 15 to 20 minutes then you won’t understand how to use this service. They focus on the trend and pay almost no attention to the news. I find this to be relaxing as it helps me focus on when to buy. In the past, I would trade based on the news and my results were sub-par

Sol’s newsletters are, without a doubt, the best I have ever subscribed to. I am a member of all of his letters and if you have patience, these are the letters for you. If your money is eating a hole in your pocket and you just have to get into the market right now, then stay away from these news letters. That is not Sol’s investment style. Unlike most news letters, Sol does not bombard you with a bunch of crap investment recommendations that go nowhere. He sends out recommendations with a price the stock needs to be under before you buy. This is where the patience comes in. The stock is typically not below that number at the time of the newsletter, you have to wait for it to go down. Sometimes that stock doesn’t ever go down , but most will go into the buy range at some point as long as you are patient.
Since his buy recommendations are based on stocks letting out some steam before you buy, there is a much better likely hood that it will be profitable. You can see for yourself how many 5 star reviews he has. His method works. Whatever your risk tolerance is, he has recommendations for you. Whether they are low risk stocks or high risk stocks and options. He categorizes what the risk is also so you can stay in you conform zone.
It is definitely worth a try as long as you have patience!

Just began a 3 month trial and feel overwhelmed by the deluge of back issues and the intense drum beating of the value investing approach . Like DonW146 I dislike sifting through so many different stock names. The specific
tickers tend to be off the familiar beaten pathway of popular momentum stocks; many fly below the radar of most analysts, but that means I also am enveloped by unknown stocks , many of which are sloping decidedly downward
on a 9 to 12 month daily chart. Although I could surely use help in becoming a better portfolio manager I am afraid I must break the consensus of these posts by stating that I am uncertain that I can benefit from this particular newsletter. It remains to be seen. However, I do agree that the staff responds quickly to inquiries.

I subscribed four days ago and still haven’t been sent any information despite the fact that I’ve emailed with Vladimir multiple times to let him know that . I feel like this is some sort of scam.

Definitely not a scam, but for me, the jury’s still out. I’ve been a subscriber for months now, and am intrigued with their approach. It’s more of a long-term advisory, not based on solely on technical charting, but the mass psychology of the market as well.
Lot of interesting commentary in their updates.
I set up a spreadsheet to track all their recommendations, prescribed entry points, and they’re separated by the categories of the picks (i.e., safer stocks, riskier stocks, safer ETF’s, riskier ETF’s, etc.). They stress buying on a dip, and if the stock goes down further, they cost-average buy buying a second “lot” in that stock. That seems to be paying off so far, as some that have dipped turned out to rebound after I bought a second lot at a lower price.
Definitely not your average newsletter.

I tried to delete my comment because I finally got my welcome email today. I’ve read everything they sent but I don’t see any place to find their stock picks or the private forum. Can you point me in the right direction?

Did they send you any copies of past Market Updates? They send them on an irregular basis, usually 3-4/month. Initially, it took a while to digest the format and absorb what their methodology was and how to sort through the recommendations, but I have it down pat now. After you review all the existing picks, note the ones that have a bold UPDATED next to them; in future issues, after you may have bought into a few positions, just look for the updates to modify the buy and sell criteria. As I mentioned, I set up a spreadsheet to keep track of all the entry points, which prices I bought which “lots” at, etc., as it can get confusing. Also, when they suggest an entry point for a particular stock or ETF, I set an alert in TD Ameritrade to let me know it hit that target price, then I’ll take a closer look and likely buy into it. When I first subscribed, they issued very few buys, and I was getting pretty antsy. That’s changed with market conditions, and I’ve made a decent number of buys since then (and sold a few, but not many).

I don’t believe so, although they usually reply promptly with any questions. Their site and updates leave a bit to be desired, but once you get accustomed to it (which can take some effort), it’s ok.

The service is exceptional provided you read all the suggested articles and you follow their instructions. Over the past two years my results have been nothing short of phenomenal. The private forum they launched roughly 10 months ago is full of smart and open-minded information. The information posted there is mind-blowing. It already contains over 5400 posts. I would recommend taking the test drive 30 special offer to see if the subscription is for you.
