I would not recommend this service. Do not believe the marketing hype. I uploaded the previous six years of performance history to excel. Below is a yearly summary;

2013: -7.69% (loss)
2014: -11.89% (loss)
2015: -7.33% (loss)
2016: -6.03% (loss)
2017: -8.57% (loss)
2018: -7.67% ( As of September 18th) (loss)

As you can see, each year the options yielded an average loss of 8.2%.

Ken Trester’s service is qute valuable. Since he has proven that most of his trades are losers every year, it makes it easy to make winning trades most of the time. Just take the opposite trade he recommends. Just think about it. I suggest doing your own analysis first before entering into any trade. Every trading guru I known of has disclaimers that are up front and center. Ultimately we trade our own money and are responsible for our own trade results. I appreciate the consistent negative reviews as it reduces risk to do the opposite of what Ken recommends. Try it and you will be amazed!

Thanks for these review. I purchased his service and was ready to start trading, but wanted to see his history of trades. He has a “small” list of trades on his website, and I was surprised to realize that most of the trades ends in loss. Then I did the search on google and found this website. I will cancel today.
Any suggestions of better places to get option advice ?

I wish I had found this site before participating in this. Very few small gains. Mostly losses. And they cant(or wont) tell you what their monthly performance is. This has got to be the worst program I have ever seen. I hope you read all the reviews on this page before you invest money in this and and simply throw your money away.

I remember getting a mailer from Ken Trester (really via snail mail) back in 1992 — I never traded anything at that time and had a little money, probably 1-2K, which I used to open a Schwab account, and had it approved for options trading. In a couple of months, my 1K went down to $200. All of Ken Trester’s recommendations were losers. But one thing it did for me was to introduce me to the world of Options & stock trading. So, in that regard, the tuition I paid was worth every penny.

So I was left with $200 and did not have enough to buy anything. But scanning Investor’s Business Daily (yeah — the daily paper version) I saw that my company’s (Advanced Micro Devices) was trading at 1/16 (non-decimals those days). So I went YOLO at 20 contracts with my last $200 on AMD Jan options, it was mid-December, so I had about 4-6 weeks. until expiration, and AMD will be releasing its earnings early Jan. And how low can it go? Next step to 1/16 is Zero!

To make a long story short, first AMD settled with Intel — my 1/16 went to $1.56 (I sold half). Then earnings a week or so later, the options went to $3.50+. It went all the way to about $6.00. I was able to parlay and roll to other options, and my account went to $75K. Felt like a genius (which is another long story with a lot of lessons learned.)

In hindsight, essentially, what I did was follow Ken Trester’s idea (and my interpretation) of finding “cheap” options (how cheap can you really go at 1/16?)

Would I subscribe to Ken Trester’s again? Sure! For the learning experience. I have subscribed to Navellier, way back, and many trainings on trading, even to this day. The only newsletter I can recommend today is Profits Unlimited by Paul Mampilly — my accounts currently sits at 7 figures today because of Paul.

On the options trading side, I can recommend Brad Castro’s The Leveraged Investing Club – it’s the only strategy that is close to a “no losers” strategy. OptionsPlay is another tool I use for options analysis.

I hope this helps.
