Once the market closes at 4 p.m., it can simultaneously perform four different calculations on a stock.
The first analyzes changes in a stock’s volatility.
The second measures its variability and dispersion rates.
The third looks at speed and change in price movement.
And the fourth identifies overbought and oversold conditions.
The resulting score from these four calculations is converted into a single number, between 0 and 100. That number is then mapped out on a color coded grid, like the one you see below.

So far, this is another absolute scam. Money Map Press which platforms this scam, is in my mind, a very dishonest organization. None of his picks do anything. If one wishes to risk owning 500 very average stocks, after a years time, by all means, sign up for this sad hype of a so-called strategy.

This is a scam. I got hooked on the marketing in December ’17 and decided to paper trade in January. Lost $3345 mostly on the -10% trailing stock price. The ones that made money were pennies compared to the losses. It is overly hyped without real $ figures only %. I started to trade real $ in February and made $1241. OK but it took 10 trades and half lost money. March was a loss of $459 and April was a winner of $591. May was a small negative and June was a loss of $1340. July was worse and I stopped trading in August. I reported all of this to their customer service and NEVER received a reply. I also asked for my service fee back and no reply. I don’t trust them.
BTW, I actually traded contrary to a few of their recommendations and made money. I don’t count that as part of the Command Grid recommendations. I’ve been trading for many years and I thought I could save some time by taking others advice. I was wrong. I can still to better than the Command Grid.

At $2,500 a head for the limit of 1,000 readers, i know why he’s living the high life. That’s $2.5 million.

I subscrived to this group a couple months ago and so far all I get is these offers to join more trading deals like this and so far very few good recommendations.

No need to wait for Travis’ take…Stay Away. Personally lost 83.7% by the way Mr. Johnson calculates returns, but honestly I am down 24% real money + the subscription cost of which I have no prospects of ever gaining that much money from this system. You see an Alert only comes After a stock has already risen 25% over the past 5 trading days. There in I think lies the problem with anyone making money. Buy that time “short sells” come into the mix and is probably where NT is actually making his money!

Here are some of the “Night Trader’s” sales pitches:
1. In the sales pitch video he claims to be related to a long line of engineers, one of whom, a Swiss engineer, developed the Command Grid trading system.
2. We target simple Turbo Stocks that are in the GREEN ZONE on the Command Grid. Follow along with that, and we’ll make a fortune.
3. The power of the Night Trade, a special kind of order that takes just 5 minutes of your time has the potential to make you 50%, 100%, or even 125% profit by the NEXT MORNING!
4. Just sit back, wait for profits, enter a new position later on.
5. Claims he can turn a $5000 trading account into $174,500 by the end of one year or you get your money back. (That works out to a profit of $695/day for each of the year’s 251 trading days.)
6. I’m on pace to see total winning gains of 3390% per year.
7. I plan on giving you absolute freedom and making you rich enough so that you never worry about money again for the rest of your life.
8. Take part in the boldest initiative in the history of our business. Prepare to make more money than ever before.
Here are the first two stock picks. Check them out, I think a blind monkey picked these: Dec. 21 Halozyne (HALO) $19.90
Dec. 22 Park Hotels (PK) $29.20
THE NIGHT TRADER IS A TOTAL SCAM. I want my money back.

Received this email today, Dec. 31: “I’ve already seen total winning gains of 929% and I’m only just getting started.” What a bunch of BS! Here is the scorecard of stocks recommended so far, ALL LOSERS as far as the outrageous claims of triple digit gains are concerned. And remember, he promises gains of $750, $1,700, or $5,700 the NEXT DAYcomment image

Sounds too good to be true coupled with the quintessential sales pitches, limited memberships, act now price is going up, may close down memberships completely, money back guarantee (after a year of courser) etc…. I think there may be another reason other then collecting the membership fees. If he accumulates enough followers executing the same trades won’t that essentially drive the stock pick prices up? Maybe he purchases them the night before he releases his pick instructions.

One of the things that he said is that he would not be buying any of these stocks. Money Map policy is that all of their people are prohibited from buying any stock that they are promoting for 72 hours following the release of the recommendation.

The Money Map Press Nova X was very profitable for me, plus $50,000 in 3 months, but now it is a sales site. Multiple emails per day for “the night trader. The Radical Technology Profits picks were losers, so I will not touch the “the night trader”.

I’ll second that on Nova X. It seems to be the rare truly good publication in the Money Map family, and I have done extremely well trading on its recommendations.

But EVERYTHING in the Money Map family will end up leading you to non-stop spam for their expensive services. For a while it was Night Trader. More recently it has been High Velocity, and now it’s their latest Money Zone that is flooding my inbox.

To my knowledge, none of their expensive products are or have ever been worth a dime. Kids throwing darts at the Wall Street Journal could do better than this Night Trader idiot.

The Night Trader (NT) marketing-video and this is what I imagine is the Swiss method. It actually appears to make sense…..I just don’t know what the stats will be.

The Night Trader name is misleading if you expect the gains to occur the next day. The method does not achieve the projections stated overnight. From his charts the order is entered at night, may take many days to trigger entry, and they may take 5 months or more to mature. It does appear to be a lower stress method to day trading. From the sequence posted in the reader responses there can be many setups in any one day.

Theory: Seems sound but Patience is key. NT candidate list must include high volatility stocks demonstrating high prior interest and significant price action. Fibonacci projections in a trending market tend to be symmetric (balanced), after a sufficient retrace is often achieved ==> if a-b leg was 25%, there is a good change the c-d will match that gain after completing retrace.

NT candidate scan / setup:
* Start with all stocks without price limitations
* [Add liquidity assessment]
Filter for all that have demonstrated gains of 25% or more within 5 day period. [within 3 – 40 day time frame]
* stock must demonstrate significant [confirming] explosive volume
*stocks that are or have recently reached 52 week high
*stocks with rising EMA 200 and positive EMA 50-200 momentum
*stocks having rising [confirming] volatility. Since volatility cycles quickly, the stock is likely to be cycling off and on the list every 4-7 days,

NT Entry Scan Triggers must be run immediately after update of candidate scan
Price Breakout [approaching or above] 52 week high
RSI swing from Oversold condition

Post Entry and Exit:
Method uses only end-of-day data to run his scans, and enters stop-Limit orders with a a One-Triggers-Other for the trailing stop.

It is premature to judge the method. If a reader has the ability to program and test what I have listed below and wants to assess statistical performance, I’d welcome that.

Watching with interest…..

The sales pitch they use to make people sign up and dish out $2995 is misleading.

“As a former CEO, broker and Director, The Night Trader is the one man in America who has figured out a way to infiltrate the markets after the closing bell at 4 p.m…And execute specific trades on stocks that he knows – with as close to 100% certainty as possible – are bound to go up in price IMMEDIATELY. Then, when he wakes up the next day, he often finds an extra $500, $1,000, or $1,500 sitting in his account. On the night of December 10, for example, The Night Trader went bowling with a few friends. When he got home later that night, he made few trades on his smartphone. When he checked his account the next day, he was $1,100 richer.”

And here are the dismal results after one week:comment image

Chris Johnson (“Night Trader”): Most days, I see 50% total gains in my account (sometimes more). In fact, I’ve already seen total winning gains of 929% and I’m only just getting started.”

I reported these scam artists to the Better Business Bureau https://www.bbb.org/greater-maryland/business-reviews/publishers-periodical/money-map-press-in-baltimore-md-90207867/reviews-and-complaints

I demand a full refund, nothing less.

I joined the advisory service in late December 2017. Only 3 of 16 trades are up, just a little. The rest are down, including 5 that hit the 10% trailing stops leaving me with losses. All of the others are down. The advertising is false, based on how they tout returns. In one email, they claimed to be up over 60%. MY PORTFOLIO WAS DOWN 3% WHEN THEY CLAIMED IT WAS UP, AND IT IS NOW DOWN ABOUT 5%. I think they cherry pick prices, rather than using closing prices.
Second, mathematically, you cannot add percentages which is what Chris Johnson did. You have to take cost and current value of the total portfolio to determine the percent up or down. Their method is mathematically stupid, or purposefully dishonest. At this point, I would have been ahead simply by buying puts for each of his recommendations. STAY AWAY FROM THIS “GET RICH QUICK SCHEME!!!”

I had another write-off today (1-18-18)! That makes 6 trades that stopped out, hitting 10% trailing stops. That’s 37.5% of 16 recommendations that lost money, with only a couple remaining modestly ahead of entry prices. The remaining stocks are down as much as 6%, probably heading toward hitting their 10% trailing stops.

I have not even looked this morning at the remaining stocks. I wanted to add to my comments: I tried to contact Chris Johnson to ask questions about how he calculated the percentages he touts. My first effort was not negative in tone. Money Press’s “Research Dept” replied without any answers. They actually said they don’t do the kind of work (calculating results) I requested! The reply ended with something like “watch for the next exciting trade.” Yeah, right! Bottom line: Money Map Press keeps a stone wall between subscribers and their “advisors.” My guess is they want to avoid any kind of replies that could lead to legal action, especially any kind of class action. Having said that, there are advisors that seem to be pretty good…..Patalon, Barton and Fitzgerald.

My THINKOLATOR SAITH a massive lawsuit is underway or should be because this happens every time we are in a massive stock market bull run. I remember back in the 90’s during our dot com bubble all the major a..holes thatcame out of the woodwork after working class stiffs because there were more of us then them. So when you do the average in sales 2:7 then it stands to reason that these jerkoffs are out screwing us on every dollar they steal. And althoughwe are all “adults” capable of making our decisions it is in their phraseology that makes the horse thirst before leading it to water.

Percentages can be ‘interpreted’ several ways. ONE sales pitch I read (don’t remember who) said he had a “x%’ gain one one stock and another ‘y%’ gain on another. THEN he said he had a ‘x+y’ % gain. I DIDN’T FLUNK MATH! I know the answer not the SUM.
It is the sum of each gain divided by the value of respective stock then AVERAGED, not totaled. I think that Tom Gentile plays fast and loose with his figures too and I can’t find his ‘recommendation’ most of the time. His Fast Fortune said he sent a money calendar each month, but you need his premium service ‘money calendar pro’ to get his trades.
I recently joined Patalon’s ‘Private Briefing’ but only get his down-home ‘wisdom’ and stories.

As of this morning NT has issued 25 recommendations (alerts he calls them). Personal results: 5 not played due price setting; 1 pending with high doubts of positioning; 10 open with whopping 0.7% gains and 9 closed (10% stop loss triggered) for net Loss of 87.3%.

So I’m getting 5-6 e-mails per week about this stoopid trading system, and the guy must just be blatantly lying as they are quoting PORTFOLIO returns of up to 3,390 percent. This kind of false marketing is why we are so blessed to have Travis keeping us safe, and NOT dropping $1950 on an advisory service. Has anyone else noticed how the price of ALL the services that they advertise – including the ones named above by SmyrnaDave are ALL $1950? Ridiculous

The solicitations from Money Map Press are very irritating. I tried a couple of subscriptions and the only one that made me a lot of money was Nova-X, mainly for pot stock recommendations. I have made at least 4x the cost of admission on that one. Zenith Trading started out really well then took a nose dive. Seismic has been up and down. Multiple 50%+ gains then nosedived, but now is back up into double digit profits overall.

Of course, my automated 401K investment is up > 20% for an extra $100/year service fee so it is the best investment bargain out there for me.

CAUTION: Seismic is also Chris Johnson…I lost money on that, too, but Money Map allowed me last summer to switch to another service. STAY AWAY FROM CHRIS JOHNSON. His reports/updates are full of lies and they ignore the stocks that get stopped out. Also, if you subscribe to several of their services, look into negotiating a one-time fee for a lifetime membership to all of their services….just ignore the bad ones…Night Trader and Seismic. You can start by getting a credit for Night
Trader. My alternative was to wait until newxt December to demand a full refund. Instead, I used the credit toward a lifetime membership. I have not tried Nova-X, but will. Thnx for the tip to try it!

After 3 months I asked for my money back , based on the disastrous Tips .On 9th March, SARAH promised it would be forthcoming , It took a comment here on Gumshoe Pages plus an email to their Better Business Bureau in Baltimore to convince Money Map Press that I meant business before they refunded me today, nearly 6 months after they first promised repayment. Pursue them and you should win !! Thanks Gumshoe for your help in publishing these comments.

I was surprised as I listened to his Night Trader video ad when he talked about only dealing with ‘turbo stocks’. That was a red flag because of his first example. This was a little stock that wiggled across the graph doing nothing then jumped like a scared cat. This stock was obviously NOT going up 5% each day for 5 days! OH wait, maybe 5% of 0.o1 could look like that! To me, this just put the lie to his pitch. So I looked in here (gumshoe) and confirmed his nonsense. Sure, it would be nice to sleep in and make money (I’m on Pacific Time) but Oh well…. thanks for the confirmation.
