His win-loss rate: 75/25.
In/out length of time varies from a week to 4 months. Average somewhere close to 2 months.
The average win was 78% profit (modal win around 50% but some really big ones kicked the average up). Average loss: 70% but some of them close to 100%. He had a string of losses early in the year: out of 13 suggestions 9 lost between early January to end of April. That would wipe out the “kitty” of most folk. If folk avoided that period (but how would you know) they will have done well.
It is not the occasional loss. It is not the loss 25% of the time. It is the unpredictable strings that make this so dangerous. If anyone knows a way around that I am sure we would all love to know it!
Despite this, I like him: straightforward, well reasoned. Good system: his model is one of a select handful of high-quality stocks with pretty predictable patterns (he does let you know that probability/risk in advance — that risk varies).
WHAT % RETURN HAS THIS SERVICE PRODUCED FOR YOUR PORTFOLIO?
I joined in January 2020 and had some initial good wins of over 100% with his basic “quarterly earnings” strategy. Then the crash – had us on the Call side with market free-falling in general and our positions with it. Some of those initial calls are expiring in a few days out of the money (for zero).
Chad quickly moved us to new “bonus play” put options betting a downward slide would continue. So I have 75% of my capital placed in his puts for a continued slide, not happening at the moment . With last week being the best up market since 1974 you can imagine what our positions look like…but we have time in these options so we’ll see…
Chad has us waiting for the market to crack down as the earnings season begins to deliver a continual stream of bad news. I do hope he is accurate in his prediction. If not, we have little left to start over again but I believe I’ll stay with the service for the full year. Who isn’t having issues now?
If I would have seen the market react so quickly I would have stayed out of some of these positions, but how can you know? Glad I don’t have everything tied up at the moment, looking forward to a calmer time where his “quarterly earnings” strategy works (January/February) as his current bonus trade strategy is a bust so far.
Chad Shoop would not know a good option trade from his butt. Do not waste your money. Learn how you can really make options trades for profits by studying. There are so many better ways to trade options then calls or puts trying to just follow direction like Chad. Learn verticals, condors, butterfly trades and more. Learn to chart stocks and follow points of resistance going up or down. If you want to trade options just because the stock is trending up or down you will lose most of the time just as the crap Chad tries to shovel.
absolutely nothing. Chad Shoop could not find an options trade if it hit him in the head.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
I didn’t want to cross-post the whole post – 2018.11.5 – https://www.stockgumshoe.com/2017/03/microblog-peak-velocity-newsletter/
Very honest and to the point. No slimy sales crap. The man is brilliant but knows his limits. One of the best services I know about.
WHAT % RETURN HAS THIS SERVICE PRODUCED FOR YOUR PORTFOLIO?
After seven months of following the news letter, I’ve lost 40%. Confidence is low.
WHAT % RETURN HAS THIS SERVICE PRODUCED FOR YOUR PORTFOLIO?
If you are dumb enough to get sucked in by the false claims from Chad Shoop by all means waste your money. This guy could not predict yesterday’s weather much less a winning options trade.
I paid for Mr. Shoop’s service during his time at Banyan Hill. My experience was awful. Period. Especially right before he got scrubbed from Banyan Hill.
