I’ve been a subscriber to Forbes Special Situation Survey Newsletter for over 12 years. I’ve found if you don’t cherry pick which monthly stock you buy, but instead buy a set dollar amount of each monthly stock recommendation you will avg 15%. They supply tons of information on each months stock so you are well informed. I guess since I’ve been a subscriber for so long you can say I’m pleased. Two complaints, first in revisiting some of the stocks 3-6 months after they say to sell I see I’ve missed more gains, and secondly they hang on to losers to long. We recently rode RIMM from $60s to teens. Been holding COCO for two years with a loss, with their recent recommendation to continue to hold.
Other notes on this one are here if anyone’s curious: http://stockgumshoe.com/reviews/special-situation-survey/
I don’t get any “other notes” – other than the two above – at the link you give. And is there anything more recent? I just got (on May 21, 2020) a new “Memorial Day Sale” promo for this newsletter to “save $450” and only for a few slots open for their maximum of 5,000 investors etc. I would appreciate knowing if anyone has more recent experience than the two notes from 2013. Thanks
