I’ve got some other Friday File commentary coming to you later today, too — but Fridays are for the Irregulars, and the overwhelming request over the past 24 hours has been for the solution to this Dave Lashmet “better than SpaceX” stock teaser, so we’ll get to that first… and I’m breaking our Friday File into two pieces, so this is Part One.

Here’s how the ad starts, in case you missed it yesterday:

So yes, it’s tied in with the SpaceX IPO, as well as with the upcoming G7 meeting between major global leaders (that will be June 15-17, in France), which gives them some catalysts and an urgent June 15 deadline… also partly driven by the fact that they say they’ll stop offering new subscriptions to this letter after June 15, and it will thereafter only be available to Stansberry’s high-end “buy everything” Alliance members.

The ad is for Dave Lashmet’s newsletter, Stansberry Venture Technology ($2,499/yr, no refunds, 30-day “satisfaction guaranteed” credit to use on other Stansberry publications if you don’t like the Venture letter), which used to be the highest-cost letter they offered, and which we’ve covered many times. He reports many big hits, and presumably plenty of losses as well, that’s typically the nature of investing in smaller-cap growth stories and science-driven stories, where things can change pretty quickly.

How does Lashmet look in our Teaser Search system? Not great — he has pitched some compelling-sounding ideas over the years, and some of them have done quite well, but at this point only one of the 25 teased picks of his that we’ve covered is beating the S&P 500 if you bought it when it was teased and held it through today.
