I’ve been on Stealth Profits Trader. Some winners, some losers. Worse part though is they claim their losers as winners. Just the other day CFG was trading at $36 and touted as being ready for the big swing after suffering some steady losses for a couple of weeks. STealth was recommending the $40 calls for 50 cents or less or buy to shares outright. So I bought 900 shares. (Hey what can I say, I gambled). Later that day I researched the bid/ask on the $40calls, and within 3min of the Stealth email notification landing in my inbox blocks of 200 contracts were filled around .50, but by the afternoon they were trading around .75. At the close of the bell we had our 21 March mini bear across the market and CFG fell about $2.50, and in one day I was out $2,400. The next day D.R Barton sent out emails bragging how the Stealth hit a 100% return in just one day and what an awesome guy he is in calling the market, blah, blah, blah. Had he said to buy puts I might have concurred, but apparently he thinks that the early birds who got in at .50 and out six hours later at .75 constitutes some ingenious play. The only thing backing up his technical analysis is a hook pattern. I have another pattern; it looks like a cliff which seems to be just as probable. I would like to know who the dude was who was smart enough to buy 400 puts at $1.00. around noon. That’s a 40 grand outlay. So now I can cut my losses or sit on my shares. Guess I’ll wait and see if that hook ever shows up.

John,

I contacted SPT re: the CFG issue (since I was also shocked to see his “100% gain” paycheck alert the next day) – I finally got my fill at $.64 after waiting for the recommended $.55 or less limit for a while – anyhow, I was told that D.R. got his fill at $.30!!! (which was totally bogus – I had already checked the premium history and the lowest it had ever been was $.32 – the previous day – and the premium was in the $.55 – $.60 range at the time I got the e-mail notification at 10:51 AM).

This has been my big complaint with the SPT service – too many times, the information provided does not allow you to get the fill at the price he recommends (many times the stock price has already moved significantly prior to the subscriber’s receiving the notification) – so although the research appears technically sound, for some unknown reason, the alerts are not sent out in a timely manner. In the case of CFG, there was no way to get the fill at the price that would allow that 100% gain he promoted – we would’ve had to have received the buy alert the previous day (and then “hope” to get it when it dipped down to $.32 briefly). Even though I’ve complained several times, it keeps happening (and I, like you, I’m now sitting on a losing position and can only hope it gains some before the April17 expiration).

I was browsing through the comments and saw your replies. You didn’t seem to mention it, but it’s quite obvious you poor souls are the “hooks.” From your description, he buys something, sends out an email, you all pump it up for him, then he exits.

Wow! After reading similar laments, it appears a successful strategy would be to take the opposite trade on the alert email, and bank profits or exit within days.

Wow. It doesn’t work that way. There are at times 80 to 90% setups that do work. but what do you do when they don’t?. The better question is (Why) don’t they work. The markets are in a constant state of accumulation and they accumulate both sides. When the imbalance is in their favor they move quickly cashing out and moving towards their next (trap). The game is trap the retail. almost everyday is a mis-direction or a pause day You can see this on the intraday time frames everyday . you also see this mis -direction no matter if trending up or down,
I do have a Proprietary system that beats the market but it is not for sale.

Dave,

What time did you get your buy notifications for CREE and MVL? (I’m wondering if my e-mail notifications are somehow delayed). When I got the e-mail and checked this out (2:24 PM), the premium for CREE was already at $.58 (and had been at/above $.52 since around 10:15 AM). Since the buy alert had a limit of $.45, there was no way to get in within the recommended parameter – and although the premium has increased a little since yesterday, it’s no where near a point where I would consider it a “great profit” (it’s at $.77 right now, so just a moderate increase from the fill price).

MVL was available within the limit in the alert (it was $.92 when I checked in at 2:24 PM), but that one likewise just increased a little yesterday afternoon, but has settled back down today into a losing position (and I know these are both April17 expirations, so there’s still plenty of time for them to turn around).

Please let me know when you got your notification and what your fill prices were – I’ve had a recurring issue with receiving my SPT alerts with limit information that cannot be achieved – so it did surprise me to hear about your good report re: CREE.

Thanks,

Tim

They changed how they charge. Now they want 2,500 right away to cover you for the rest of your life…..Except at the end they state, and there is only a $249 dollar maintenance fee each year!

So everything I’ve read still doesn’t bring me any closer to knowing anyone who has bought and used “Stealth Profit Trader”. Anyone out there that I can speak to Directly?

Also – JROD – Sounds like your on to something tangible. Can you contact me to discuss further?

Stealth Profits Trader is a scam. For the last year, the losers have outnumbered the winners by 2 to 1. They also misrepresent their winners by claiming multiple wins by selling options trades in small pieces. They will not honor their money back guarantee. I would stay away from Money Map Press totally. Motely Fool, Agora Financial and Chaikin Analytics are much more reputable and valuable. You will likely loose money overall with Stealth Profits Trader, very unlikely to gain anything at all.

The cost was 2,500. to get in. It all sounds so good. Too good to be true even. After losing all my allocated funds I asked for my entry money back and was refused. The scam revolves around them stating their only requirement for you not to get your money back is that they have at least 28 triple digit “win”, profits. In a year that is not a problem considering what they have you invest in, HOWEVER, the catch this past year is they had many, many more loses that negate all the profits and put you in a severe hole, e.g. profits are 10,000. but a much larger number of loses are 30,000., leaving a net loss of 20,000. But, their statement is therefore a slight of hand scam and they say they have met their requirement.

my experience, also, he claimed winners while I experienced loss, time after time.
90 day refund policy can be relied on, but why bother.

Suckered in by the pitch and not one winning trade yet – either can’t get in at their stated price or can’t get out at a profit. Many unprofitable trades so i just observe and no longer play the game. Loses on trades far exceed the loses on subscription so those “Stealth Profits” have been so stealthy I don’t see them. In looking at the options chain easy to see the STP traders – a big bulge on the recommended trade so you are competing with many others. Can’t believe their stated results – just not credible. I did learn some about options but not sure it’s knowledge I should have.

Too often the recommended option entry price from which the “profits” are expressed are often available for only a few minutes at most, then the price jumps enough for there not to be the kind of advertised profits his solicitation material suggests. I have had one good trade since I joined in January. At least it’s deductible.

I’m waiting for my Stealth Profits refund. The final straw was when I received a message to buy a call at a price that was never reached. They claimed it as winner a few days later. When I called and complained about the misleading info they did not disagree. They just accepted the fact and apologized for the error. I hope the refund comes through my credit card… we’ll see.

Most of these advertisement are not reliable. I tried many of them. The winning ratio is 3:7 means you will loose money in 7 trades , while you make money in 3 trades. Options are big cheating. The big premium ones are the losers, While the small premium ones are the gainers. Even though you make small amounts Ken Trester is a reliable investing adviser.

I have posted this before. What Barton is selling is the Ross Hook. If that is your cup of tea then go to AMZN and buy the book. The Ross hook by Joe Ross. Now if you are interested in trading and making money. Then go to http://www.pivotboss.com
The guy who runs the site is Frank Ochoa a real upstanding guy. I do make money in the market and most of what I learned I did learn it from him.He has a book and now it is on sale. “The secrets of Pivot Boss.” you should not trade until you learn the six types of trading days. that way you will know when to expect the follow thru day, days etc. If you buy the book you can get into his chat room for free for one month. What ever you do stop send money to crack pots like stealth trader
