I did subscribe to one of Jon Markman’s service about a year ago, then canceled because of inferior performance of the picks. I am now subscribed again since about 3 mos. to “strategic advantage”.
I realize there is a distinct disconnect between the advertisement Gumshoe is referring to and the actual day to day service. Whereas the advertisement sounds quite macho and aggressive, the service itself is not like that at all. Instead, Jon shares his insight via 5 weekly updates with his subscribers, presenting it, and then his particular picks (ETFs, stocks, special situations, sometimes simple option plays) very convincingly, and I would say cautiously. He combines technical charts with fundamentals. The follow up is excellent, and all documented on his website. His Portfolio performance, as I experienced it, is “on and off”, not much to brag about, and disclosed on the website. I just like his diligent work and how he presents it. As a consequence I stopped reading all sorts of other advice floating around on the internet, a time saver.
