OMG! What a complete disaster this Skykes program is! I spent $850 for a 3 month trial which ends 4/20/18. Not really a “day trader” and do know the penny stock risks but thought I’d spend some time playing with pennies while waiting for the next market crash. His first recommendation (before you buy the service) tells you that you will make $9600 in quick order BUT you don’t find out how much of his penny stock pick you have to buy UNTIL AFTER you buy his service. YOU NEEDED TO INVEST $15000 in order to do this. Normally would never do this but gambled on his first big test of his new service. Biggest, dumbest thing that they did NOT do is too send TEXT alerts so you actually know when he wants you to buy or sell a stock yet in his advertising, he says some trades will only be “hours long”! HE SENDS EMAILS OUT, NO TEXTS! By the time you get his email, the stock has already shot up way past his “buy up to price”! I did buy into the first 2 stocks only because I was off work and could watch “emails” 24//7 and first stock went up but leveled off then started tanking. I watched closely, waited for this “experts” SELL ORDER which came WAY too late, fortunately I took it upon myself to sell quickly and broke even. Had I waited for his “sell order” I would have lost $6,000 on his first stock pick! I gave this guy one more chance and bought into the second recommendation, late email announcement, barely made it in, up a little, then down, I sold off quickly WAY before this “expert” sent out a “sell order”! NOT sure why I was paying this guy for this service, hell I have penny gold miners that go up and down more in a day than his picks. Some weeks, no stocks were recommended. Some weeks, he gets the “inside news” too late, stock price already has gone up but he still sends out a “hey, I know the price has already gone up a lot so just buy a HALF position”. Stocks end up being duds with minimal movement. I sent Agora/Sykes a letter complaining about NO TEXT alerts and never got a professional response. I called Agora only to be on hold for hours and hours listening to elevator music. Time passed, got last weeks “professional penny pick” at around 11;45am PST, I get into my Fidelity account already knowing that this stock will already be way past the “buy up to” amount and …………sure enough, way over, then an hour later, Sykes realizes he made a mistake on the News from this company via misreading the title of the News article, then recanting. All this within approx 2-3 hours! I finally got so disgusted I called Agora again, this time only had to wait on hold for 30 minutes just to be told “it’s my problem that I don’t do my stock trading and/or emails on my Iphone” and “no refunds”. I complained about how bad it is to not have TEXT ALERTS then she tells me they are implementing this service THIS WEEK, you know, just 2 weeks before my subscription expires!! Agora Rep totally contradicts herself by admitting they are finally doing TEXT ALERTS, the very thing I wrote to them about early on as I just assumed that they would use 21st century tech to get us the fast moving penny stock info out FAST. NOPE, not until now and they did not even thank me for the “free advice” that I had orig. sent them despite now using it. Now after almost 3 months of watching this service, it does NOT deliver what Sykes promises, stock tips are way too late, even if you got the email, you’d be lucky to buy in at the recommended price. He waits too long to act, then too long to notify his paying customers, both when to buy and just as importantly WHEN to sell. I’m a nice guy, I know the risks with penny stocks but this service is just AWFUL. The only person making money is Sykes (and Agora). I’m already a life time member of Rickards full services thru Agora and have spent some good money but that did not sway the Agora Rep. Love my Rickards service but I’d be hard pressed to buy anything again from Agora unless they offered a 30 day trial or some sort of guarantee. I ordered Nomi Prins service for $2000 non refundable. They NEVER ONCE MENTIONED THAT IS AN “OPTIONS BUYING RECOMMENDATION” service until AFTER you pay them! I DON’T DO OPTIONS! Called immediately and they did not process my order but another example of how aggressive Agora is getting. I don’t think ol’ Bill Bonner would approve of his modern day business practices. What a shame.

Bill Bonner can certainly read…. He knows exactly what is going on… How many foreign properties does he now own? Where do you think he collects his massive income from? Grape vineyards in France are not cheap. He passes himself off as one “who is above the crowd”… Yeah sure…. too high up to be sued, that is it my friend! I got stiffed in three programs. So I now read the gumshoe. So do not be fooled. Bonner is living high on the hog on the dreams of desperate people attempting to grab just a little piece of the financially engineered Bernanke economy. Wait up Bonner is no angel. He is enjoying a stress free life with multiple income properties on the backs of subscribers unfulfilled dreams and sheltered from any accountability. He is an example of the deep state. Insulated by LLC and Corporation law.

Great detailed comment Mike Marshall. I totally agree with everything you said and also been thru most of it too. I now come here before I send money, so I didn’t send any to Tim Sykes Penny Stocks. Small condolence that someone else is also going thru what I did, but really SAD! I started with James Altucher/Agora Qtrly. payment 2 months ago and was supposed to get weekly alerts but he also didnt mention they are options. So I quickly had to re-school myself on options and study for a week before TD would even accept my entry and also needed WAY more $$ in my account that he said. I have now quit all of the Agora programs and sleep so much better. I think most of their money goes to the writers that know how to PUFF up all their dozens of different programs to make them sound different. Was just trying to add some money to my Social Security. Pretty sad they are ripping off retirement aged folks. Everyone, BE CAREFUL! Always check Gumstock for reports before you send your money! Have a nice Spring everyone! Lonni

After it recharged, my better self nudged me to search gumshoe. I saved $3000.00

Totally agree with the other comments here. In a moment of real WEAKNESS I got sucked into this black hole called “weekly fortunes” and signed up for the year. WHAT AN EDUCATION it has been, at the very least. The
most irksome part of this “service”, as already stated, is that the recommendations ALWAYS come TOO LATE. Have written time and again to Agora and directly to Mr. Sykes about this – no comment at all from Agora and only a snide
comment from Sykes. Just look at the pictures of him drinking margaritas on the veranda of some fancy resort hotel while sneering into the camera – for me, that says it all. So, I KNOW that what I did (sign up for this dreck) was WRONG – however, silver lining, learned a very valuable lesson. Stay away from “services” like this – especially ones that don’t offer a refund for non-performance.

Haha, NO. I think the program is PURE BS. I actually recommend you save everything and when the program is over feel free to send it to me or save it for yourself and compare it to the claims made by Agora/Sykes. Then use the info for future reference when someone tries to sell you a bill of goods. I feel sorry for anyone who was duped and am only looking to put the info out to the public so others are not scammed. Support@tickercandy.com @TickerCandy

Maybe try reading Sykes’ blog post which mentions Agora and their tangled web of bs. Sykes even replied saying “Yup!” when someone asked if he was taking legal measures against Money Morning (Agora is their parent company). Here is a direct quote from Tim Sykes, “None of these facts bodes well for Money Morning, Jason Pell, Publishing Services, or Agora—which are all interwoven in a tangle that cannot be undone (along with the 100 other domains as mentioned above).” In the comment section people literally told him they were praying on people desperate to build wealth and here we are in 2018 and he works with Agora to sell bs. Here is another user comment on the same blog page, “It’s interesting that you say Money Morning and Agora are interwoven. Agora, Inc., is the parent company of Stansberry Research, which was founded by Porter Stansberry. This is a big outfit that sells, among other things, financial newsletters. To quote Wikipedia’s entry on Porter Stansberry, “In 2003, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission brought a case against Stansberry for a “scheme to defraud public investors by disseminating false information in several Internet newsletters.” A federal court, upheld on appeal, found that Stansberry had sent out a newsletter to subscribers predicting one company’s stock, USEC Inc., was going to increase by over 100%.” Agora and Stansberry are huge in the industry, but in my opinion they’re not to be trusted at all.” As you know, Tim Sykes now works with Agora. Search Google for Tim Sykes Real vs Questionable and read the blog post yourself. I hope Sykes hides/deletes this blog post just as he did with all of his SureTrader & Guy Gentile recommendations and other posts I called them out for as well.

Sorry – forgot to mention – his latest hype is called “R.A.L.L.Y” – acronym for some nonsense not even worth mentioning – except for the fact that he is charging something like $2750. for this newest “service” AND throwing in (FOR FREE), his “Weekly Fortunes” program. What kind of message does THAT send to the people who paid big money to subscribe to “Weekly Fortunes”? I can’t believe that I keep saying this…but…UN – BELIEVE – ABLE.

Wow, I just watched the promo which Sykes claims is totally free and talks about his charities and how much he wants to help us slobs make some real money. He made it sound like this is the only special time during the year when you can make a lot of money fast. Now I see that he was also doing this scam back in April. So, I watch the whole presentation and he’s supposed to give us 3 strong buys at the end but of course it was just a classic bait and switch; nothing was free and he wanted $2000 or so to reveal these 3 stocks.

I just watched the info-mercial on Mr. Sykes latest program “Weekly Fortunes.” It looked interesting until I noted the Agora affiliation at the bottom of the web page. I still watched just to see but my enthusiasm died right then. Agora is garbage. Something I noted during the sales pitch, Mr. Sykes talked about his best trade ever after one of the plants in the audience asked the question. He said he made something over a hundred thousand dollars in less than a week and he did this when he was a freshman in college. I’m not doubting this but he goes on, as if to illustrate that to find this trade and enter it, he used the same system he’s selling today, saying he opted in when the issue crossed the “money line.” I’m curious…he claims his “money line” is a result of all the digital data feeds from multiple inputs costing his company $120,000 a month to maintain (I think that’s the figure he used). He further goes on to say how he’s spent tens of thousands of hours trading, studying, living and breathing penny stocks and this money-line system is the culmination of his efforts. Hmmm, how could he possibly have been using this system as a freshman in college?

I learned years ago (the hard way) to stay away from anything associated with Agora/Moneymap Press/Stansberry/ etc. They’re all in it together and none of them are any good. They make their money selling financial “services.” They DON’T make their money trading and investing. Most of their advice will result in you losing your account if you follow it. You might have noted they do not offer trial periods or cash refund performance guarantees anymore. Their miserable excuse for a performance guarantee is laughable. Why would anyone want another year of a crappy service for free? You shoulder 100% of the risk while they keep all of your money no matter what. They want your money and once they have it, you’re no longer relevant to them. This no refund policy has only cropped up in the past few years. Ever wonder why? I believe they started going to this because far too many people were asking for their money back when the service they subscribed to tanked. It’s a HUGE red flag. If you are considering a service that does not offer a trial period AND a real performance guarantee in the form of a cash refund, steer clear. That’s really that acid test until you can determine for yourself if their program is any good. If they were honest, if their service was even remotely as good as their claims, they would have NO problem offering a trial period with a cash refund if the service was not satisfactory. There aren’t very many real trading services out there that are honest but there are still a few.

The latest is Weekend Fortunes…I guess to go along with his most recent Weekly Fortunes. It’s targeted at Friday news announcements in the Penny Stock arena. Buy Friday, sell on Monday. This weekends opportunity is to make up to $6.25K. Typical Agora marketing. Got an email that says I must watch this short 1 minute video immediately. Of course, when the 1.5 minute video ends, it automatically starts another 30 – 45 minute video. And of course, the service is discounted, available to only 1% of his readers, after that it’s closed. With Agora videos, I can pretty well guess the price of the service by how long the sales pitch video drags on. I was guess this one was a $10K annual service. I was wrong. It’s $5K, reduced to$3K for a short time only. Some days I’m slower (mentally and physically I guess) than others. It dawned on me during the video, once I knew it was a penny stock service, that I would have to risk a LOT of money to grown a penny stock into $6K profit over the weekend, unless it was some really special buy. The key is, when watching any sales pitch video, look for the bait and switch and other inconsistencies, like Tim saying you didn’t need to invest much to make big money since the purchases were all penny stock. Of course, I did NOT buy his system but I have read elsewhere his training courses were actually good. Above average. Anyone have experience with the courses?

I also purchased Timmy’s “Weekly Miss-Fortunes newsletter for the price of my first born son. Everything everyone has said about Tim not sending texts out for his picks is 100% accurate. Most of his customers called/emailed Agora to complain and it took 3 weeks for them to get around to figuring out how to send out text alerts. Even though he started sending out text alerts by the time he decided on a pick, put together his presentation, and then sent out the email THEN the text alert the stock had already spiked past his buy limit price and never came back down until after it started to tank with all the selling. When I called Agora to complain the gentleman on the phone made it very clear that “almost all” of Tim’s subscribers were missing out on his picks because of how slow he was at providing his service. There has been more than a handful of weeks where he didn’t even recommend a stock, so when you add in the number of picks that I missed out on because he didn’t get the pick out fast enough, I went a month without being able to utilize the service I paid so much for. The second week of his service he couldn’t find a single stock that met his criteria so he sent out an old pick from some Knucleman guy, or whatever exactly his name is, at around 3pm Friday afternoon just so he could claim he made his “weekly” pick. Apparently that pick was so horrible he just decided to not make a pick in a week if he couldn’t find his own. He’s started to raise his buy up to price so people can still use his service but it’s further cutting into what tiny little profit they make….assuming any profit at all. One of his latest pics was TRUE but only for a HALF position because it already spiked pretty high above his money line. But the next week he was so convinced the stock had so much more upside than the Friday before that his pick for the week was to buy the other half position that he didn’t think enough of a few days ago to recommend but now it’s so great he’s all in…a week goes by and the stock was still trading sideways even after his big purchase plus that of his thousands of paying customers. IF I would have completely followed his recommendation I would have lost even more money because even though my buy in price was below his limit price there were some extra fees associated with my online brokerage firm and wherever they got the shares from so my break-even price was 19 cents higher than the highest price his pick ever got. A lot of the sticks he recommended have been like that. He also has had to go outside of the traditional penny stock range to try to find a stock that might turn a tiny profit. In his video he claimed he makes 15-20% on his winning trades. Very few if any of his actual Weekly Miss-Fortunes customers have ever made 15-20% on the winning trades. In August he’s bragging about the great 5-7% winnings he’s getting. If you look at one of his blogs he says he made “MOST” of his money doing short selling. He can’t convince people to sign up for his Weekly Miss-Fortunes disservice so now he’s come up with this Weekend Miss-Fortunes disservice. As you can see everybody that’s posted on here has said almost the exact same thing and has had the exact same experiences. If I didn’t say these things I would be doing the same disservice to people that Timmy has done to us.

Not sure if I am really signed up for this program. When I first signed up, I received two stock purchase notices. I then received an e-mail that Agora Financial had cancelled my subscription to Tim Skype’s Financial. I was now confused as to weather I was a subscriber or not so I put a hold on the $850.00 charge on my credit card. This is now Monday September 17th and did not receive any communication from Tim Sykes. What a mess. Paul

What a scam! Skles is the only one making money, he;s in first and out 1st, and hope his suckers bump up the stock. And what lame picks, Glad I only did a trial. I made a few bucks on only ONE of the 8 text alerts got. And the picks have already spiked buy the time I get a text alert. I thought his proprietary stock program was suppose to pick stocks before they spiked. He won’t be around much longer with all his loser picks.

Smart to try it out first – I was not given that option and sunk $4k into this fiasco. I will say that his “educational” posts are worth reading, but I would not say they are worth $4k. The education I DID receive, however, was to STAY AWAY from Mr. Sykes and others like him (i.e. – all of Agora).

I signed up for Tim Calendar Weekly charging 850 everything three months.
I am new to trading but I see that one can make quite a bit of money at this if they learn how(I am learning)

In three months how many alerts have been sent out? Two! That’s right in three months I have received two alerts by Tim. I decided in December I can understand since the market pretty much crashed for the end of the year.

Now in January there is all these dates where you are supposed to be able to make money….any alerts on what and when to buy? Yea one at 8 percent.

more Calendar days showing up for Stocks! Great! no alerts. Getting confused.

Contact Agora and they say watch this read this. That doesn’t answer why I am not getting alerts on stocks or Tim is not sending alerts.

Finally in Feb there is an alert and it’s loss. Not a small loss but a loss all the same.

Spending 850 dollars in three months has gained me 45 dollars from alerts.

I have nothing against Tim I studied up on what he is doing and am still learning but I sensed something is wrong here. And I was right!!!!!!!!

On Tim’s trading site he has been making money this whole time! All those Calendar dates he has been trading on them.

Now Tim’s videos are fantastic and he is very intelligent and has great educational material but damn what the hell is this!

Calendar Weekly and you don’t even get weekly trades? Yes of course I am canceling the service and joining Tim’s site instead.

Before I go I want to talk about the Psychology here of Agora financial.

While I was waiting for alerts to buy penny stocks I was being sent daily multiple emails of how I could make 1000s off penny stocks, 10,000 in two weeks!
I could add 100,000 thousand in a year!

Look Tim in Italy, Tim in Thailand, etc.

This all happening while I already belong to Tim’s Weekly Calendar and am not receiving any good plays to trade then when I do receive something it’s only 8 percent gain for the whole Month!

I just received an email from Tim Sykes and began to listen to the presentation. His theory has merit because there is a Nobel prize about markets call Efficient Market Theory which states that stocks sell at their fair market value and that it is almost impossible to predict where the markets will go. I have attended classes where people are able to analyze individual companies, but not the market as a whole. If this guy really has an application that scours the market for news, I would be interested to know what AI application aspect he is using, since to do what he says he can do on Friday morning and then disseminate an extract of the data search in a readable actionable format….I don’t think that can feasibly be done by 3pm Friday.
The writers.org offers classes to people to learn how to write a presentations like Sykes’.
The presentations are excellent. That’s where the money is. I can’t say that the actual product delivers what it promises. It’s possible, but not with the computing abilities currently available. To do what he says he does, he’d need a specific kind of AI, and very powerful, fast computers. Those kinds of machines and software intelligence just don’t exist yet.

Do you hear yourself? Have you read anything here? You’re not going to make “huge profits”, not with this and most likely not with anything that’s promoted as such. Especially with a $3000 non-refundable price tag. It’s a come-on for gullible people.

Joined for $3K. Trades are not every week. First four trades were a loss. Next two were for way less than 10% profit. 4 winners and 8 losers so far this year. His ‘speech’ guaranteed 20 winners of >50% or you get another year. Definitely getting another year (assuming I have any money left!). Would absolutely NOT recommend this program for anyone. Would give this program a 1/2 star.

Why would you WANT another year, when it’s obvious already that it’s a losing program for suckers – sorry to be blunt, but had you read anything here before you dropped $3K, you should have known that nobody is making money from this garbage. And certainly not YUGE PROFITS. Save your money and skip their recommendations, don’t throw anymore down this black hole.

Tim Sykes is a complete SCAM. I gave this guy $3000 expecting him to deliver on his marketing of making huge gains and small losses. The majority of the time either his recommendation spiked too quickly from the time he sent alert and was a losing trade. First trade lost 30%. The whole year I had lesser winning trades than losing trades. I lost about $1500 during the year instead of making any money after paying him $3000! Stay away from the scam.

If Sykes picks are as bad as everyone claims why not just do the opposite to make money

What? Just do the opposite? What does that even mean? Ok, I’ll do the “opposite” and simply NOT invest in anything he recommends…yeah, that’ll work great. Come to think of it, yes it WILL work to save you money – just won’t help you to MAKE any money.

No, what he means if that Sykes says to buy a particular option or stock, then you instead sell that option or stock, taking the other side of the trade. If his recommendation is a loser (as most are), then the other side of the trade is going to be a winner. If you’re not getting that, probably shouldn’t be trading to begin with.
